    IMDB gives it R
Official MPAA Rating: Rated R for strong language and sexual material throughout

I wouldn't take your children there for above reasons read the spoilers in the link above.

That's an American certificate. You should check the BBFC website for the UK classification.
  • I agree BB will have their own certs but even just reading the spoilers should be enough for any parent to make their mind up if a 6 and even 10yr old can see those scenes and be able to ask mum/dad What is he going down for mum/dad? Awkward.....

My wife and I had four tickets for A Monster Calls last night but couldn't go. Gave them to another family member but I was interested to hear if it was suitable for kids. My daughter is six and son 10 and he's super senative to people passing away so I wasn't too sure if this would be suitable.

I managed to get tickets for Why Him, does anyone know what certificate it is? Not sure if it's a 15 or a 12A!

    It is a 15

HACKSAW RIDGE is the extraordinary true story of Desmond Doss (BAFTA winner and Golden Globe nominee Andrew Garfield) who, in Okinawa during the bloodiest battle of WWII, saved 75 men without firing or carrying a gun.

He was the only American soldier in WWII to fight on the front lines without a weapon, as he believed that while the war was justified, killing was nevertheless wrong.

As an army medic, he single-handedly evacuated the wounded from behind enemy lines, braved fire while tending to soldiers and was wounded by a grenade and hit by snipers.

Doss was the first conscientious objector awarded the Congressional Medal of Honour.

Starring Andrew Garfield, Vince Vaughn, Teresa Palmer, Sam Worthington, Luke Bracey, Hugo Weaving and Rachel Griffiths.

    Directed by Mel Gibson

    WHY HIM ?

A VERY VERY FUNNY FILM !

Lots of :Ds :)s and :eek:s

If you can overlook (disregard or it doesn't bother you at all) the very frequent and liberal profanity (particularly in the 1st half-ish) then this is a go to must see comedy.
It's just "justifiable" in the defining of the character of HIM !

Two thirds through I was giving it a 9/10

Towards the end it was 9 AND A HALF

By the finish (what with the closing scenes) I had to give it the FULL 10/10

BEST LINE delivered in the film - I GAVE HIM A HAND JOB :rotfl:

    Definitely recommended

1hr 51min film FLEW BY - would have guessed it was only an 85 minutes at most

Excellent performance by Megan Mullally (Gin swigging Karen from Will & Grace)

And DON'T LEAVE the instant the credits start rolling - just a few seconds later there's a little bit more

What was the sound quality like? Was surround sound on and which chain did you see it at?
