Hi RAclette Gang - I have one too! An 8-person one with the little pans; bought it in France after we'd been invited to supper by people who had just bought one. I love it - such a sociable way to eat with friends. Thanks to whoever put the raclette recipe link on here - been looking for some new ones!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

We have used emmenthal/gruyere, but nothing is the same as raclette. It does freeze quite well, so have stocked up in the past & put some in the freezer. I paid £8.00 per kg on Saturday on the market, far far cheaper than Waitrose or Selfridges food hall (the only other places I have found it "up north"). If you have a visting french market, the cheese stall usually has it, or get friends to bring it back from trips to France.0 -

I still wish I could have afforded a stone one.
now i am getting in to this i wish i had a look around the store and found a really good one. Mine is nice but very basic and cant do everything on it being a top only one and no grill.
i wonder what would happen next year when i have to do the new kitchen out and i accidently drop this raclette might have to replace it !!!!Still TryingGrocery challenge July 2016

Ok - I'm going to admit to my ignorance here. What is a raclette
I've looked at the photos and read the posts but it hasn't enlightened me.
Is it a pancake maker/sandwich maker? Can someone please put me out of my misery"It is always the best policy to speak the truth-unless, of course, you are an exceptionally good liar." - Jerome K Jerome0
