Sorry Bluebird do you not accept they are two different jurisdictions regulated by two diff law societies? You can practice English law as an English lawyer in Scotland. It's not the location that matters it's what law you're practising.
I'm perfectly aware that there are two jurisdictions. I thought that would be evident from my previous post, where I elucidated that my wife and the godmother to my child are both practicing solicitors. Some lawyer you are!
What I don't understand is why anyone would require two practicing certificates in their working life. I've spent half my career in the legal sector, and have only met a handful that are dual qualified. Perhaps you are, but given the typos that litter your posts, I seriously doubt it.

Just an observation. It has been stated that the housing market cooled before the election in case Labour got in and imposed rent reforms. Now that the tories are back, its picking up.
I think the removal will give renters more security, you hear of plenty of cases in england where tenants are afraid to complain or ask for repairs in case they get evicted.
Looking at http://www.rentolease.co.uk/BlogView.asp?id=123118&ShowCat=
you can get your home back e.g. if you want to sell or us it yourself.0 -
Sorry Sniggings I'm a businesswoman not a housing charity.
Everything is not as black or white as you are trying to paint it.
A LL can for many reasons have their property back, are you really suggesting the new rules are making a private LL once renting out their property never being able stop the tenancy?
Instead of arguing with your idea of what the new laws mean, lets argue on the facts.0 -

Bluebird you seemed to believe that one could simply prance across the border practising whichever law applied without being qualified in it!
Silly old me being dual-qualified! How pointless!
Yes, you can.
Unless I'm just imagining all those Scottish qualified lawyers, practicing Scottish Law in the South West of England.
