HH i know what you mean about cliquey people, i dropped my daughter off at a schoolfrineds party yesterday and some of the other mums barley acknowledged me it's the same at the school gates. I think it says more about them than it does about yourself. Sharron

Slightly O/T but I loathe playground politics, really can't be bothered with it. Thankful my youngest only needs me to drop off from September.

Aside from that I'm charging ahead with all things OS Sunday orientated, ready to get stuck into flylady this week :D

  • Morning Guys!

Had a great time yesterday with sister and family. It was supposed to be their anniversary but as they are seperating, we did a little party for the 3 kids (dd, and niece/nephew). They had a few pressies each and we concentrated on them having a good day. My poor sister. She does not deserve this. All we can do is be there for her.

Back at the hospital tomorrow:o .....I dont know if Ive mentioned it before...but I HATE hospitals:D Not feeling much better either. Left lung very painful to breathe...but I cant moan as theres always someone worse off than yourself.

Have done a lovely gammon joint in the SC for lunch and roasted veg (onion, peppers and carrots)....smells devine! Have also found 3 yorkies lurking in the freezer from an old batch I cooked and froze.

    Anyway, I need a cuppa.

    Hugs to all.

Thank you everyone for your congrats on our anniversary. I'm getting over the thought of being old (mind you I was a child bride, almost, ok then 21) no doubt i'll be very depressed next year when I hit 50.

Am determined to get back to meal planning this week - I have been putting back the weight I lost last year and I am getting v cross with myself.

DS has a job interview on Wednesday so everything is crossed for him that it's a job he'll enjoy and that if so he will get it.

DD back from her holiday in Croatia tomorrow, I can't wait, we normally speak every day but I've only spoken to her 3 times since last Monday.

    Hugs to everyone in need.

    Hi everyone.

Big hugs for everyone who had a poor nights sleep last night. I got up at 10.30am :o I've just read through the last on Friday's thread but missed yesterdays.

It's pouring down here so my great plans of getting all the washing done isn't looking too likely unless I want the house looking like a jumble sale! I went for my weekly shop this morning and spent <£25 so very pleased with myself. It's meatloaf for dinner today. Not had meatloaf for ages so I'm looking forward to it. Lots opf veg and gravy - yum.

You remember I said I joined the library last week? Well, I've read 2 books already and I'm halfway through a 3rd. Wish I'd joined ages ago. If anyone is adding the odd book to their shopping trolley, seriously, go and join the library. Every few pounds saved really adds up over the year.
I've talked OH into cleaning the bathrooms for me today :j I've done the usual hoovering and dishes etc but don't plan on doing too much for the rest of the day. Hope some people have sunshine today, don't work too hard.

Amie - hope your bbq goes well.
Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!
  • Ooh Twink, the very woman - thank you so much for the Hob Nob recipe - have made them over four times now - just one tiny question - what do they taste like when cooled -none of us can resist!!!

Hope everyone's day is going well - Hester, I get that at the school gates too - don't know what it is or why. I've just come to the conclusion that I wouldn't want to be seen with, or be around people who can behave like that anyway. Not much use when you're hurting, but it makes me feel a bit better at the time as I walk away with my head a little higher and back a little straighter than it would otherwise have been.

The most marvellous thing has just happened - just as I was starting to contemplate what we could possibly eat for our tea, my brother called and invited us to a restaurant for dinner - woohoo - no cooking, nagging the kids to load the dishwasher, refereeing them as they scrap over who has piled up more plates than the other. Nope, for me tonight is a peaceful, well cooked and cleared up meal - not to mention the inability to move after eating too much!!!
The weather has turned out lovely here and I hope it is cheering up for all of you - Radley bags look so much better in full sunshine - fond memory before I ebayed all of mine *sighs and savours the moment*. There will be excessive purchasing of new ones once a millionaire realises I'm what he's been waiting for all of his life!! (Any millionaire will do and Mr T is fully aware that he and the kids will be unceremoniously ditched when he comes along.)

    Take care,
    Tilly
