Morning AMIE and MRS MIX - I had no trouble sleeping - must have been the lovely bottle of Muscadet my DH brought back from France! Lovely day here. Loads of ironing to do - he bought tons of washing back with him but at least I managed to get it all dry.
Anyway, not much to report at the mo so catch you all later. Have a great day everyone and hugs to all in need.

Hello everybody,
Well my sleep was a little better. DGS woke up at 1am and then thereafter  so I suppose half a night is better than none. OS has arrived so I'm looking forward to a good nights sleep in Bombi. (our name for our kombi) Just been pottering around today and hearing about work at the mineswhich has been very, very interesting. [STRIKE]not[/STRIKE]
Snowy Mabye you should call her Puss and be done with it.
Well hope you all have a lovely day and will try and pop back later tonight. ByeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning Amie, mrs_mix, Moiliere and AussieLass and all who follow.
Had a bit of a lay in today didn't wake until 7 am, which is fine for me. Sympathies Amie and mrs_mix. Well the BBC weather shows light rain and 28 degrees with a black cloud for me today, but the sun is just coming up and only a few wisps of cloud about so, think they may have it slightly wrong. 8degrees for landing at Ledds-Bradfird at midnight, so think I had better put something warm in my hand luggage to put on when we land.
White-light clothes washed before we went to bed last night, darks in overnight, just waiting for DH to get up to put on bedding in followed by the towels, then we are sorted for when we come back. May leave any ironing until our return, as far to hot to iron in the day.
DH will be helping with a quick mop/dust through + bathrooms. We don't have to leave until 7.30 tonight so plenty of time for this + the final layer of the tan, not forgetting the unavoidable packing.
Thanks for the travel wishes keep the fingers crossed the 'plane is on time.
Have a good Sunday
DG
Odds-n-Sods (((hugs))) for the toe. I now keep a couple of bags of cheap frozen peas in the freezer to help mine, just wrap a tea towel round them and place on appropriate part. Then re-freeze for the next time/day.Member #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Morning all
Our neighbours had a party too last night...we had to shut the bedroom window to keep the noise down so I woke up very hot this morning.
My stepdaughter (15) was staying for nine days until yesterday and went home last night. She is so fussy with her food and generally a difficult little madam so it's lovely to be on our own again. We normally have both kids on Sundays but I've got a reprieve today and we're going out on our own - probably to the Jewish Museum in Manchester if it's going to rain or the Welsh coast if it's not.
Grilled halloumi cheese with bulgar wheat salad tonight - my favourite tea but expensive so only on special treat days!
Have a good Sunday everyone and hope the barbecue goes well Amie399.

Good Morning all!
Well, we had an 'interesting' night, you could say. Was up in bed at about 9:30 reading and we heard a crash. Both my DH and I said 'that was a car window' and I looked outside. couldn't see anythign, but a neighbour was out too, and I went outside to check a neighbour's car - he's had the windsheild smashed in before.... and it was last night. The neighbours all figure they knew who's done it; there's a house at the end of the street that is being evicted as they are such arrogant antisocial yobs, no adults in the house last night, so all the local idiots were 'visiting' . As we were putting a tarp over the car - to preserve the "little darlings" footprints -- they walked by. All they could say was 'WHUT'. POlice were told about the footprints and they are coming round today to do whatever they do with footprints on a car hood; then they'll go around to these twits.
Looked outside this AM and the tarp has been pulled off; dew on the hood; looks like the prints are still there, will check once the dew has gone. This is about the 4th time they have attacked this guy's car; his headlight, windshield wipers, sideview mirrors, windshield (x2) have all been broken by these kids.
I heard them come back down the street last night. They also tried to bash in a fence down the street while we were outside but stopped when they realized we were there.
GOnna make up the last of the muffins in a minute, not sure what we're haveing today yet.0 -
Morning everyone.
Odds-n-sods dont kids like that make you mad, we have one of two like it round here, they are getting abit older now but last night dh spent a hour watching on of them running around outside drunk, shes only 14!!!! Luckly no damage done but lots of noise!!
It is dull and overcast here this morning but it is so warm and sticky, have ironing to do and must make meal plan ready for shopping tommororw, i have also promised the kids can have their ears pieced tommorow only 2 boys and dd want it doing but have a feeling on ds2 will go through with it, we will see!!
They have been asking me for a few years and iv always said next year, so thought i better let them this year.
Hugs to all who need one
Have a lovely sunday

Morning All
Typed a longish post and lost it grrrr!
Anyway basically said - odds-n-sods - hearing things like that make me so angry - hope the police can do something.
(((hugs))) to those not sleeping
Need to check the weather forcast in a min, think was meant to rain later but is looking lovely now so fingers x'd it stays like that and we will go out on the boat again, think I will probably stay on the beach with a book - bliss.
SO far this morning have put mats in the wm, just about to unload dw and clean kitchen - need to clean my stainless steel fridge again as ds leaves fingerprints all over it. Need to hoover and wash floors and some ironing which will probably be done later.
Leftover chicken made into hm curry for tea.
Have a great day - hope the barbeque goes well Amie3990 -
I can't stand those types of teenagers, never have done. They wind me right up; hard for me not to let it show when I'm working sometimes. One was drinking last night; there were 7-8 of them. They left some VERY nice clear footprints on the hood, tho, you can even read the 'reebok' on the bottom! 2 different sets as well.0
