Good morning everyone,
Had a nice lie in until 9 this morning, when DD brought me up a cup of tea in bed - i have lovely children!!!
Mind you, after going to bed last night, i heard DS go to the loo at one point, and then DD came into my bed around 3, so no chance of sleeping right through for me either.
DS has a football match in a bit, so im doing Sunday lunch for dinner tonight, we are having roast chicken, lovely!
Thats about it here, so hope everyone has a lovely day (and the rain stays away at least until DS has finished his football match!!!)
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning all!! Got up late this morning, i hate it when that happens the day just doesn't seem to get going somehow. We went to the dog kennells in manchester yesterday as we are thinking of gettin another dog, me and hubs were up quite late looking at different breeds on the internet and can't agree on one. I want a cute cavalier king charles, he wants a doberman! Just wandering what a compromise would be?!!! We already have a staffordshire bull terrier and she is a complete little cutie. Not doin much today some washing and ironing, reconcile the bank account, some speech therapy with ds3 and my meal plan and shopping list. Sympathies for those with nusiance neighbours, we had the neighbours from hell in our other house, we only lived there for 2 years, spent a fortune doing it up then when we were finished decided we could'nt bear to be there much longer, we sold up and moved here were my neighbours are absoulote godsends. The neighbour one side grows all of his own veg, and asked me one year if i'd mind some of it as he had too much!! I was very grateful and i hav'nt bought tomatos, cucumber or broccoli this year yet!!! Weather is absoultly miserable here today, Just as well were having a pajama day!!! Bye for now SharronSometimes your the dog, and sometimes your the lampost..:p0

Morning all, well the BBQ at neighbours turned out to be very good, drunk far too much wine and suffering a bit today:D
Just had bacon sandwiches for breakfast will be going out for a bike ride through the woods later, its a bit overcast here (south coast) today, which is good for biking as we take the dog with us and she runs along side the bikes, so we don't go if its too hot.
Having a mini BBQ here for tea, lamb kebabs and bugers with jacket spuds and salad.
Not going to do much else today, will walk up the shop for a paper in a while, when i feel a bit better
Hugs to all that did not sleep well,I had no problems due to the amount of wine consumed.

Morning all
A very late start for me today, I didn't get up till 8:30!!!
We got in very late last night, we drove to Thame in Oxford to meet some people hubby knows, I found it very difficult, I'm always happy to meet new people & don't suffer from shyness so I was looking forward to it, it was only a small group, only 8 of us, but the other women rather pointedly excluded me, they were all in their 30's, maybe the thought being old is catching, lol. I made a few attemts to be friendly & make conversation, but after an hour I gave up & went & sat in the garden. It was a beautiful garden very small cottage type, with a hexagonal greenhouse & a small pond with Koi in.
Todays plans are to pack 6 parcels for Ebay/Amazon & to try & list some more stuff.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Hugs Hester

GOt my DH to go over to the neighbour that had his windshield kicked in with some blackberry muffins...... he gave us a rum cake he had in the freezer and a bag of plums off his tree....... also an offer of his cooking apples when they are ready........ LOL I think when my foots better we are going ot have to invite the neighbourhood over for an Open House. I love having an open house - we put out a buffet and at CHristmas make mulled wine.......0

Morning all..........((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))) if you need one. Espeically those of you who had bad nights, we sometimes get drunks coming by the apartments, very rowdy........mindless vandalism gets me too, when we were in our old house someone had it in for the people who lived in the end house, their car was broken into dozens of times, in the end they packed up and moved...........scandalous that people should be forced out of the home by mindless idiots.
I slept quite well, but I was very tired, think the Thorntons choccies helped LOL............
Its dullish and much cooler here this morning, it has clouded over in the last hour or so, maybe a little rain at some point during the day?????
I have a bacon joint soaking, going to cook it 20 mins in the pressure cooker and then take off the rind, score the fat and drizzle with honey, will finish it off in the remouska and then let it go cold before I slice it. We will have it with green beans and new spuds for supper tonight...........
Have only just made it out of bed, was determined that I was not getting up early this morning, have the towels ready for a trip to the laundry and then a pile of ironing to do, need to get it out of the way, a white load to do this week, OH put his bowling tousers in , they had a couple of marks on, he needs them for Thursday..............
Making up a shopping list for our trip to France at the end of the month, was having a look at the web sites for some of the places we want to go to, one had Bourgoyne Aligote for £2.50 a bottle, think we will have some of that!!! also some very good Muscadet..........its our favoutire market whilst we are there so will be having a quick visit there as well.......
Right off to the laundry, see y'all later.....have a good day.
Just read Hesters post, that sort of thing makes me so mad................we suffer from the same thing at the bowls club, its very cliquey..........if your face does not fit forget it, last Sunday was a good example.........next year when OH is President it will be different believe me. OH was asked to go early to get things ready, when we got there everything had been done, and what we call the group of eight were sitting having their lunch, not one person spoke.............so rude, I had a job to contain my temper.............I do have a problem with shyness and this sort of behaviour does not help.............OH was not happy either, he says he is going to have a go at them at the next meeting, there were several examples of very bad manners during the afternoon, including the President not circulating around his guests at tea time, he stood talking to one of his cronies, stuffing his face the whole time........................GGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRSeptember grocery budget........trying for £80, not sure if I will make it though!!!!! I certainly did not last month, lost track of the final bill. Will do better this month honest.

Hope all those who had a bad night's sleep are feeling more lively now. I really sympathise with everyone's bad neighbour problem. Makes me really appreciate my neighbours - they're all lovely, even the teenagers!
Well, the sunshine suddenly disappeared and it has started to rain so I think I'll do the ironing - I've got loads now that DH is back at home! I've picked some blackberries and made a crumble for pudding. There's loads more so will have to think of some other recipes. Might even have a go at making some wine. I used to make my own wine years ago; I've just got to remember where I put all the equipment!
Anyway, off to plug the iron in!
See you later.

Good morning everyone,
I hope it is ok to post - only discovered you all the other day and read the threads with fascination - what a lovely group you all are and how supportive you are of each other.
It is raining here today - straight down and no deviations type stuff, so we won't be going anywhere. Yesterday we baked loads, got two daughters 5 & 10, so maybe today we will eat the stuff and have to make more for the week.
The little one has to do a summer holiday diary which has turned into a scrapbook, so we will do some of that today - huge amount of mess but that's how we like it - means we've done something good and fun!!
Very sorry to hear that some of you have had troubled nights, neighbours and joints - awful when stuff takes over at the front of your head - doesn't let you rest.
My mum lives with us as she is 85 and disabled - she has recently been in hospital and came out with a no sleeping habit. Last night was the first time in over 5 weeks that she slept - combination of a GP's sleeping tablet and a herbal one when she woke at 3 am. So today she is much more cheerful and abe to cope. We have put her on Shark Oil tablets to see if that can help her - arthritis is a very cruel disease.
Anyway, cutting, sticking and making a terrible mess await.
I hope it was ok to post and look forward to following the thread.
Take care and have a great day,
Tilly
