It isn't a quite vague line at all, it is a totally unambiguous and clear statement: "If you do not meet the conditions of the offer...."

The conditions of the offer are also simple and clear: http://www.halifax.co.uk/bankaccounts/switch-to-halifax/. For instance, there is nothing at all about continuous funding or about 2 DDs in the offer terms, so why worry about it?
Because there's no need for the term??? If you don't meet the conditions of the offer - they should know this before paying the £100. Unless this
The offer will be paid directly into your account within three working days once your switch has completed. The payment will appear as a cash credit.
means they pay the switching bonus before they have completed other checks.

I guess it could be a cover-their-back term if they find out later that there was a reason you weren't eligible and had hidden it on applying.

The requirement for funding and DDs is because it's a Reward Account, not any old Halifax account.
I need to think of something new here...

I'm completely bamboozled. If I switch from HSBC to TSB online via the links on here, do TSB take care of the switchover including existing payments in etc. I have DDs set up with HSBC, do these count as meeting the criteria for setting up DDs or do they require new ones? This is in reference to the £100 incentive. many thanks
I USED TO BE INDECISIVE BUT NOW I'M NOT SO SURE!

Offer has been extended until 30th Aug/30th Sept - but this time, 3 DDs are required.

Did 2 Tesco DDs work before?

Edit: Also, it expired on Sunday...I set up mine on the Friday, should I still just need 2 DDs or the new 3 DDs?

    They can be added post-switch?

According to the offer terms available on the internet, " offer is available if you open a new TSB Classic Plus Account through MoneySupermarket or Money Saving Expert between 1 July and 30 August 2015 "

Well... I applied in the third week of June; transferred in some cash and switched an account. So far, TSB have sent me a debit card (but no PIN); set me up with Internet banking; sent me a paper welcome pack (as well as an electronic one) and an e-mail from a named branch manager. My old bank has also written to confirm the switch has gone ahead. Now that a payday has rolled round, I will set up the DD next week and keep an eye out for the switching bonus to arrive.

I'm a little wary though. Yesterday I went to my named branch to ask about the late PIN - and found it temporarily closed. I went to the next nearest and was told they couldn't tell me anything until I proved my identity by entering the PIN that I haven't got... Not the best start really...
I need to think of something new here...

I keep being amazed that people ask for their old account to be switched to a new account they do not have full access to. By full access I mean unrestricted access to internet and/or mobile banking, incl any code generators that may be required, and having a debit card and a PIN that works.

Opening an account is a totally separate process from switching an account. The banks and the journalists should be quite ashamed of themselves for not reminding people about this.

So, now their t&c's say 3 x 'active' DDs.

I applied when the offer started, switch completed on 19th June. I'm sure it didn't say 'Active' when I signed up, and I have 3 x paypal DD's set up but they aren't going out each month.

Could anyone clarify if I need to do anything? Do I need to add another DD, or make payments from the existing 3?
