i am hoping that active doesn't mean they need to be a DD taken during the first 30/31 days.

My switch date was 15th July - I am hoping to get my £100 by 15th Aug so I can then switch straight away to HSBC within their two months time limit....I might risk Yorkshire bank in Sept if they still have an offer!

    £100 + £120 + £120 + £150 = #easymoney
  • I have so far done Coop, M&S, First Direct, Halifax and Yorkshire Bank. I am currently in the process of getting over £80 from Nationwide through TCB but it hasn't been paid and it's now 14 week on!

I tried an offer that First Trust Bank had but they didnt clear me unless I would traipse to Ireland to visit a branch!

I am guessing I only have HSBC and TSB left? When can I start the circuit all over again and become a "new customer" for the ones already fleeced?

    Yes.

You cant! All of the current offers have a 'once only' clause, with one notable exception...Nationwide RAF (which I assume you used in conjunction with TCB for an extra £50 at the time...and which is currently £100 if you fancy another go).

You can't for First Direct & Yorkshire. You need to check the T&Cs of each offer as many have a 'once only' rule.

    I registered online June 26th/27th
Added 3 DDs to my Lloyds account to be safe (should be 2 based on the old T&Cs but they've switched to 3 now)
My switch is scheduled for 27th, all 3 DDs will pull in the week before (they're visible on Lloyds though)
After the switch I plan to alter the DD dates so they pull sooner then hopefully get paid :-o

I'm currently waiting on HSBC & M&S account details to come through so I can start those switches too
    Mortgage (Nov 15): £79,950 | Mortgage (May 19): £71,754 | Mortgage (Sep 22): £0
    Cashback sites: £900 | £30k in 2016: £30,300 (101%)

I was paid the incentive twice by Hal1fax. I switched the first time purely for that, and the second time a few months later because I actually wanted to ditch my old bank. Really wasn't expecting a second incentive, it was a nice supprise!

Slightly off topic but slightly not.... people on these threads often say they use Paypal for one of their Direct Debits. Well I just set up a TSB account and Paypal added the account through the switching process but I can't seem to set up a DD.

I just did a manual transfer from the TSB. I clicked "Add money" from the homepage on the left. Then I went to the right hand section which says "PayPal moves money from your bank account
PayPal debits money from your bank account through a direct debit you set up with us." and it showed another bank account of mine but there is no other account in the drop down. I tried to add my new TSB account and it said it is already linked.

I did a manual transfer of £1 to see if it would add it to the right hand section but it hasn't.

Can anyone help?!! I hope that makes sense.

I was pondering that also, but I can confirm that I received my £100 today, and have had no DD's taken from my account yet, first one was due to come out tomorrow as it happens.

    Cheers, Des.

In my experience you have to wait a few days before the new account shows up on the right hand side "PayPal moves money from your bank account" bit.
