Managed a few "to do's" off my list yesterday, but nothing like I should have managed.

    Bought cards and gift.
Looked for Jacket - didn't see anything I liked
Done a washing, and since it was sunny before I left - hang out my bedding, only to find later,
the weather was only good for the ducks and plants. It poured all day and night long. Huge queueat BS so cheques were not paid in, but did manage some YS from supermarket, 2x lots of croissants, 2x spice fruit loaf with cinnamon, 4x trifles, 2xshepherds pies all for £2.75. Muts get my other freezer up and running, could have got a lot more.

    To Do's Today
    [STRIKE]Re-do washing[/STRIKE] Done
    [STRIKE]Ironing[/STRIKE] Done
    List items
    Clear out pantry cupboard
Pull out fabric and see if I have enough for new L/R curtains

But 1st list above, next ironing.

  • Weekend's over for me. Working today as o/t, which means I have a 6 day week, not used to that. However have Monday & Tuesday off next week as it's the holiday weekend here :)

Not much happening, still twiddling my thumbs waiting for 1st Jan to come round so I can o/p. Not liking this one bit. It's just not the same, even if I have a virtual mortgage balance and a savings pot for o/p.

Bexster hope you have a great start tomorrow in your new job. Good Luck.

Must dash now and catch the 1st bus of the day, cause if I don't, I will be walking :( to work and feel too tired for that, as nect one is in an hours time.

  • Hi AFK

Tough break with 6 day week. Thanks, will keep you posted about the job.

Fingers crossed for some NSDs for us

    Bexster :)
  • Day started off well, was in such a good and happy mood.
And there was me thinking I couldn't be late for work. Turns out the person who's normal working day was today, didn't turn up, no phone call, nothing, started to worry when all day long still heard nothing. I've been told that if someone should be in and doesn't report for duty, then I'm supposed to try and get in touch with that person, or inform a manager, but nobody knows the phone nos of either. Mental note to bring this issue up at next meeting.

So in a not so happy mood now. Every time I have something good to look forward too, something comes along and spoils it/or my happy mood. Funny how a moment can change the whole mood/outlook in a second. Look forward to bouncing back tomorrow.

Sorry to hear your day wasn't good. Try not to dwell on things although I fully appreciate that is often easier said than done (I'm the world's worst for dwelling on stuff but trying to work on it)
    Sending big hugs x
  • Back at work today, and bosses were unaware of situation yesterday, so as someone said, I'm d@mmed if I tell, and d@mmed if I don't :( hate dropping anyone in it, but had to say something.

Just done a money shuffle, so now have 700 out of my target 1000 at end of December, but should slow down as have a few large (ish) bills coming up. No further forward with new internet/phone supplier yet as have not had time to look.

Coming down with a cold, sore throat since Friday, and now sneezing and sniffling all day long, so early bed tonight with a M&S fresh orange juice drink mixed with boiling water. Find it helps as I normally don't get a cold unless I'm run down. Nite, Nite.
