Managed to fill another 5 bags for the CS last night - and feel so good about it, trouble is I want it all OUT !!! of the house before I change my mind about different things -   :*
So carted off 3 bags to CS today - only problem is I spent  >:)  £16.00 on risers to lift my sofas as I feel they are too low, will try them later on and see if they can work magic.  But was being good today as I put back 2 items that would have been another £4 - good value they were too, but no, not bringing items into the house, I'm trying to de-clutter.  o:)
Shopping at Lid1's today came in at £7 odds then Mr M0rris0n's was £4 - long time since food shop was so low.  o:)
and a bite to eat for 2 was under £5 with the special offer - didn't have the heart to use my badge for the discount on top.

Booked a table for 6 for a local buffet using the £10 eat out offer, so something to look forward to.

I was going to suggest you feed it through to the CS a bit at a time. Our local shop was completely overwhelmed when they reopened. I saw six bins outside that week and I suggest they became much more discerning about what they kept, sending the rest to fabric reprocessing  places downstream (they still get a bit of money, but much less as based on weight.

Thanks SL, I took 3 bags I could carry to an area where there are a lot of CS's as wasn't sure they were taking any donations at present, that way I could try another CS nearby.
I think everyone has done some decluttering during lockdown with no where to put it until the CS's opened.  I heard an assistant ask a buyer of a piece of furniture if they wanted it delivered within the next couple of hours, that same day.  I think they want a quick turnover with the bonus of some more space, so they can go collect more furniture.
Today, planned to list some items and go through some paperwork, only have been asked to dog sit for my DN, so on the way there I will return M&S hangers to recycle (another bag away !!!).
Bought another batch of PB's, with another batch planned for payday.

Good work on the decluttering. I can confirm that the CS my DD volunteers at is full to the gunnels with donations just now. They are especially swamped with bric a brac for some reason?

I cannot sleep, went to bed last night, and a thought suddenly struck - I cannot remember my passwords for work tomorrow, which has kept me awake.

About to work 24 hours out of the next 36, last thing I need is a sleepless night.  Hopefully, I will find them - about to have a rumage in the hope I have written them down somewhere.

Just spent the last two days at my mums, painting her stairs, hall and living room in ready for her new carpets to be laid.
Then new suite moved in, and rest of furniture will have to wait till Monday.

You are in good company, I've been up since shortly after four this morning! I used to get that after holidays, and then sat at my desk they often came back to me

@Suffolk_lass, it's so early for you to be up, something on your mind as well?  I was awake but not up, did get up earlier though and had washed my hair and showered before alarm went off.   So back home now and dinner in the oven, I'm quite hungry so will enjoy what's cooking.
And your right, I got both passwords - 1st time trying, it's amazing how you just seem to go into auto mode.  Well it worked anyway.
Off to buy some more PB's online,  and that means target reached.  The rest I buy will just be odds and sods as I get the notion.

I had had pizza and beer on Friday night (3 small Stella bottles) and I woke up wanting the loo and with a hint of a headache. By the time I had been down for some water and been to the bathroom I was just wide awake. So I put the washing in, unloaded the dishwasher, prepped some fruit and veg for the freezer and came on here. Suddenly it was normal wake up time so I stayed up. Went back to a duvet (summer 4.5 tog) last night and went back to bed after bathroom when I woke at 5.15. Cat came and collected me at 08.00! (She was most insistent and did not deserve to be treated with such neglect apparently!)

  • SL - I hope you enjoyed them !!!  Have not had pizza for ages, as it's meant to contain too much salt for my BP.
Something that may help - (not a great name - I know, but if it helps) then why not.
How do you take Nux vomica to sleep?
purpose: Nux vomica relieves irritability, sleeplessness at 3 a.m., and digestive troubles associated with overindulgence in food, tobacco or alcohol.
Not suggesting for a minute you overindulged.

Came across a (maybe) error on my payslip - I'm sure they seemed to have added on my lump sum total instead of the 3/4 they should have as a 1/4 was meant to be tax free, and as added on has done horrible things to all my other totals. grrr.  Will phone them tomorrow, (again).

2 more days to buy some more PB's, why wait - don't want to miss out on the Oct draw.  I live in hope.

Have been roped in to get my work colleague thinking she's going out for a meal with me as she is retiring, only it will turn out to be a small surprise dinner with her "older" longer work colleagues for her retirement and 60th Birthday.  Shame she can't have anything bigger, but that's the way it is atm.  A milestone - 40 years service.

  • Today I'm thinking/starting to decorate my L/R, well made a start anyway, thought I ought to do it, as heard we are in a bit of a reverse lockdown, (and might not to able to buy the materials) not convinced it's enough to stop the spread of the virus but we can only hope.  Although I had heard at the weekend there was a lot more coming in with the virus,  was surprised they (Nicola) acted so quickly.

Need to get essentials in (justin) case, we go to another total lockdown (going to be revised in a week), first on the list, hair dye, milk and bread.
