    Morning All

Storm has passed for now and the sun has just came out :) What a difference a little sun makes after 2 days of darkness.

Forgot to mention I done some batch cooking with my slow cooker and made a large pot of soup, so now a convert to slow cooking and batch cooking. Although had to let go of 2 boxes of my ice lollies and ice creams:( as were taking up 1 full drawer in my freezer.

Off to PO again, seems to be a steady flow, just about every day I sell something, slowly getting rid of all
the unwanted items:j and have more pennies to o/p:j

Xmas decs - no way am i putting them up yet,but if kids were around they would go up sooner, have to buy a advent calender though - love these. As I just bought 2 large bags the other week, thought i should make a start kondoing them - so anything that doesn't fit in them is going, but didn't realise just how many bags i had in the loft:o

Nothing much planned for this week so far, have a meeting with work tomorrow so will have to go in for that, will meet the girls for lunch then meeting. If I feel up to it will maybe go shopping and start the pressie list and i do need an up to date simple to use phone:o

Oh and I spoke too soon, rain is battering the windows just now, has went dark and the storm seems to have returned all in a minutes change.

    Efforts i have to make for today is;
    tidy kitchen
    list items on the bay
enter into spare room2 and see what i can do there
    basic shopping
    PO

that should keep me busy for today, how about you - anything planned?

Oh ebay takings, have just recently started on this, so its only dribs and drabs, went to pay 2nd large bill i had to pay and got my mums laptop, and myself a much needed purse (although i did hear its bad luck to buy yourself a purse) so have to tell myself that i just chose it and ebay takings paid for it. Oops so in answer to your question - sometimes o/p, sometimes not.

  • I love Yankee Candles, but stick mainly to Clean Linen and the likes and at xmas time love the cinnamon spiced apple one, but will have a look out for the advent calender, sounds lovely and would be a nice treat.

    Hi

On the subject of Yankee candles advent calendars, QVC had a todays special value of two of them for about £30 the other week. I doubt they are that cheap now, but I bet they are still on their website. I didn't get them as they are not my cup of tea but they looked pretty.

    Bexster :)

    http://www.qvcuk.com/Yankee-Candle-Set-of-2-Festive-Advent-Calendars.product.704700.html?sc=SRCH&cm_sp=VIEWPOSITION-_-1-_-704700

Link above. They are about £20 each but seem very good value for 24 candles
  • Thanks Bexster, had a good look, and a good think, and although I do love them, I have to be very strict with myself. :)

Not a lot happening here, done a few more surveys, and listed a few things on the bay, but with this being the week before payday, I think there's a few out there all waiting for next week to come around asap and have a few more bags waiting for the CS.

Made another small o/p, bringing my total for this month to £400 :D and I have a ticket for tonight.

    How's your plans going Bexster?

  • Hey.

Well done on resisting temptation with the candles. It's still going. Just getting the job done at work. I'm very lucky to have been able to develop may own business as a sideline and have continued to develop this during the past year. After Christmas will be the start of a busy three months before a big new launch service for the business which is exciting and scary. I think I have things in place for it, just got to see if there is demand so watch this space!

Hope all goes well with you, and christmas prep is afoot

    Bexster :)
  • Great news everything is going to plan, Bexster

Will need to get a bit of a move on regarding Christmas, but am being just as strict, usually buy main gifts and then lots of little "stocking fillers" which seems to cost the earth, so cutting down this year.

A good few years back (when my brother was in his late thirties:eek:) after we had all opened our presents, my brother looked all around as if he was missing a present - then he said with real disappointment in his face "did I not get a selection box this year" Aaawh, so every year since, I make sure he gets a selection box. Big Wean.

Got two things to put on my Santa list so far:D, but there will be more by the time I go to write my letter to Santa.

And I've done it again, haven't I, I've o/p on a Friday once again, which means I don't see my efforts until either the Monday or Tuesday.
