Happy New Year Bexster  I now need New Goals, but
haven't given it much thought, too busy with my negotiations
for part time work.
Yes, I read about the 20 20 challenge on AJM's diary, that sounds good to me, and another was
the +1p saving.
Actually need to read up on where you can receive a nice return on your money, any safe ideas?
Wonder how long I can last in a no buy year :rotfl: think I might try that - until I buy something
Is that camera up for sale yet ?or have you been working away in the background
"[FONT="]I think it could be a year of big change for both of us xx"[/FONT]

[/FONT]I think you could be rightmind and let me know . . . and the changes that could be on the
horizon for me are slightly scary  but to mention them atm could be jinxing them, so I'm
:shhh: :silenced: for now

Lol! Re: the multiplying cars!!!
As for returns on investment, I have two regular savers but they are limited in how much you can put in and offer about 5%. Santander is £200 a month, First Direct is £300 per month. So not loads. My Santander 1-2-3 account offers 3% on up to £20,000. Other than those, I have a S & S ISA which I deposit into.
Nope, the camera is not up for sale yet. I have been working behind the scenes. More on that soon. Excited about your new hush hush project. The no buying is really about not buying non-essentials. I think I will be ok as I have put health and work priorities at the top of my list this year. We'll see how it goes. I would like to be FI by 50, so that's why work has become a priority.
Hope your new year has started well

New Year has started well, very busy, but hopefully by beginning of next week will be back to normal (whatever that is) :rotfl:thanks, Bexster.
Had a look at S@nt@nder 123 as I used to have an account with them until I ended up paying them to have the account  so moved. I may be looking in the wrong place, but all I see is 1.49 net interest, not
the 3%unless I'm a student or teenager
which is somewhere near the 3% interest. So thinking of N@tionwide, but still have to investigate further.
L@zy day ahead, spending lunch and afternoon with friends, then need to get decorations down (didn't go to town this year) but do have 6 massive bags in room of doom which need going through as all are
not going back into loft. No, they are Not !!! (So I am telling myself)
A good 2 bags (at least) will be donated to my work as they were a right miserable lot this year - and didn't have any decorations up  possibly no time, but that is no excuse, could be others half pinched them before they managed to get to them, (its a big department with various sections and floors !!!)
A big job for next week, I think, as Frid, Sat and Sunday are spoken for.
Enjoy your weekend.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -

Hello again
The 3% has likely been reduced ( sadly I am neither a student nor teenager either!)
I think I'm going to take my tree down tomorrow. I may do it after a couple of hours work this afternoon, I'll see how I feel. Enjoy your lazy afternoon lunching with friend. It's now a favourite way I treat myself, a catch up with friends, even over coffee at mine or theirs. A very good friend of mine has agreed for us to do something new/treatworthy every month. She has a lot on her plate and always seems to be at the bottom of the list
So we are going to do pamper nights, trips to the cinema, day trips etc once every mI think this year.
I've just dropped my eighth bag to the charity shop this week, and taken a very windswept walk before work this afternoon.
Have a lovely rest of the week before you are " normal " again

Well just back from an eventful day. First off, we really need the number to call Diy SOS !!!!
Flooded out this morning, and no it wasn't a water feature, although they will probably try and tell us - it is.
Although I do remember when we got a hole in the roof in the main entrance, someone brought in a kiddies paddling pool and some rubber ducks and placed it under the waterfall coming through the roof :rotfl:10+ floors above.
Managed a little spend day, of £2.55 which was my transport to work and back. Not bad for me.
Spends tomorrow will be £1.70 and will walk home as finish earlier and will be lighter.
Going to do the same as TC and enter all spends in a book. Anyone up for the NSD's challenge, I got a little lost on that one, last year.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
