Well, productive day, hedge cut and grass cut as well, with a break inbetween.

Was threatening thunder & lightening, as could hear the thunder in the distance,
and at one point had to get my washing in double quick as big sploshes started.

So as soon as I had watered my plants, well the downpour came, as usual, along
    with the thunder.

All work done, so decided on an early night - new bedding calling, with my working
outs and thoughts re work proposal, then it's a good book for me - something I've not had the
time to do for long enough.

Tomorrow will be hair dye day, ready for work Mon morning. Know I am working this
Monday not sure about the next.

Workings out with work and good book left untouched last night as out like a light as soon as head touched pillow, shame it was too hot, so never slept right though.

Up early, to try and do my mountain of ironing before it gets too hot, although we have rain, it's still
so clammy. Half of the ironing killed and having a break before continuing, then its hair time.

I'm thrilled to here about your work news, let's hope it's finalised this coming week! I love new bedding, or frankly just changed bedding ( I iron my sheets - it's contentious I know) there is nothing better than getting into fresh sheets. Sounds like you had a productive day. It must be Hair dye Sunday as I am contemplating getting out of bed to do mine now! Going for pub lunch later. Glad you fell straight to sleep, hope you get a start on that book soon.

  • Well no news yet, but holidays sorted out and I lost a week of my a/l :(

However did hear that some other area had a grievance in about it, so you never know..

I've had high's and low's all within a split second, and thoughts about how it may all turn out,
it could be such a drastic change for me, again, must have patience.

Off Monday, so nice long weekend for me, hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Here we are at the weekend again, and I have another 4 day week next week :j

Hopefully all will be signed and sealed by Wed next week, when all can be revealed :D
still going all hot and cold on this one, but just need to go with it and hope for the best.

Calculations have been going overtime as it will mean a financial change as well as a
life change. Meanwhile back at the ranch, things have been very stressful and in moments
like that you know you have made the right decision, the only down point is, it won't be
starting anytime soon, well soon enough for me anyway :(

Have nothing planned for the weekend except helping my mum with her kitchen declutter, etcand chilling out.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

    Hello

I'm sorry things are stressful at home :(

Very good news about 4 day week next week. I have my fingers crossed for weds for you. I don't know what they are hoping to offer you, but I'm certain it will be a good thing. I still think if money becomes an issue you should consider your side hustle as a top up.

I recall doing lots and lots of calculations before I jumped out of paid employment. I still quite regularly do calculations now! I excuse this with the rationale that if I didn't have such strong control over my money, I'd have never been able to become self employed. I'm also confess after " worrying" about money so long to be MF, it's hard to stop doing that. I'd rather be that way however than no idea where money is and what it's doing.

Hope you have a lovely chilled weekend. I enjoy a declutter. I am expecting to help a friend with quite a serious declutter a few days next week. Most of my major decluttering is done I'm pleased to say.

Am now working on using up instead of buying more ( some categories of this are more successful than others - I'll leave it at that I think :o).

Hope weather is nice with you. It's looking ok here, not hot but dry and mild.

    Morning Bexster,

Sorry, by "ranch" I meant work :o

Next 2 weeks, I have the Monday off, and still have a couple of days to take, before starting this year's a/l :D

I am almost comparing the reduced hours to when I jumped in and bought a house at a whim, and the feeling is much the same, all the doubts, worry, scenario's and thoughts thinking "Oh heavens, what have I done" and "I hope it all works out ok" just being far too over cautious.

Look at my house buying - worked out OK - I think :D :rotfl:

I did have a "moment" last month when I "flashed the card" :o Well ok - all of last month, and didn't keep track. All I can say is I won't be doing that again. Didn't go overboard but I like keeping track.

I also enjoy a good declutter, but some things I think should go, someone else doesn't :(

I done the using up instead of buying more after my little spurts of decluttering but didn't last too long :o I had about 10 "empty" hangers in my wardrobe and instead of removing them, I "came across" a sale - so they are now full again. Ooops.

Weather here is lovely, warm with a breeze, with a few clouds, - of course that can change at a moments notice.

    Have a great weekend.

    I'm glad it's work not home that's stressful :D

Also glad 2 four day weeks on the cards. We are going away two weeks today. Just down to Cornwall for the week. In the meantime, I want to get ahead of work for the start of the new school year.

I agree, things generally do work out, but that doesn't stop the worrying. As for " splurges", I try to keep a bit of extra to the side for " great deals" I " have to have". I only have a couple of shops/catagories that I do this in, so never terrible. Life would be very dull without a few luxuries/treats.

I know what you mean about decluttering. Helping a friend is not like helping family.

Glad your weather is nice. It's clouded over here. Should probably get dressed and have breakfast :D
