I the only sad person who doesn't look forward to payday but actually Mortgage pay away day, I'm more interested in seeing my mortgage reduce than my bank account rise :rotfl:

Now you did ask for suggestions on a postcard.... You're definitely not the only one who feels this way. My new technique is to track net worth on the 1st of each month. I have a baseline for April to start me off and then as of May i'll be updating net wroth figures. I'm hoping for the best of both worlds and that the happiness of mortgage OP day alongside account paying out day, will be rationalised with networth increasing...at least i hope it increases!
    MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £61,892.24......
Mortgage Neutral Deficit: £43,082.90... Mortgage Neutral Savings: £18,809.34

I used to do payday, then I've been doing weekly on a Monday (too much and is encouraging me to be very negative about work) and am now going back to once a month on the first :rotfl:

£10 win, now in my account, thanks LP.

Also heard about our 3% rise, not overly excited though, might end up with £10 a month more than our last rise. Less Council Tax increase, let me see, does that leave me with anything . . . .

    Every little helps.

Where on earth have I been for the past 5 days !!!

Only decided to "press the button" to a certain extent, only to find internet banking withdrawn for now :eek::eek: so scuppered plans. Then went on to find out that other customers have been able to see/access other customers accounts. Holy S**t. Lets hope when I eventually manage to log on, my money is still there. Scary thought for now.

If I had a £1 for every thanks I received I would be MF :j

Only drawback is one will go up and the other down from now :rotfl:

With you on that one. Auto enrolment increases swallowed up all my payrise and left me with about £11 a month less in pay. I know i gain with pension increases etc... but in the short term i'll have to make a small adjustment to our OP budget.

Up late making my Lemon coconut slice, for another leaving do, but disaster struck when heavy handed emptied the whole tin of condensed milk, to save (attempted), threw in more biscuits and coconut but this morning still seems rather condensed milk heavy, will make slices smaller (much) and hope for the best. Back to my reserve - lazy empire biscuits made in 10 mins - always save the day.

Just made an impulse o/p of £100 which means I now feel skint before the month starts, as although paid money hasn't shuffled over yet. Itching to amend my target months.

It's going to be a long month this time round.
