ApplePay declined in B&M again today but for some reason I haven't received the decline message on my phone yet.

B&M has a lot of problems with Visa contactless in general (Any type that verifies online). MasterCard contactless generally works fine.

For those HSBC UK customers who haven't been able to use Apple Pay yet, both HSBC and First Direct joined today.

Oddly HSBC USA still doesn't support it. With Barclays, it was the other way round. Barclaycard USA already supported it, but Barclaycard (and Barclays) UK initially refused to do so.

This mightn't be the best place to ask this but being as tfl has been discussed several times I'll give it a go.

My travelcard expires next month and I'm being made redundant at the end so there will be at least a day or two where I can use a contactless card or iPhone to pay for my ticket.

My question is, should my train be delayed 30 minutes or more I'm entitled to a partial refund. It's easy to claim on an Oyster Card as I print my statement but how does it work on a credit card?

It's the same principle. You log into the TfL web site and request a refund, but based on your payment card details rather than your Oyster card details.

Sorry. My mistake but I don't claim through tfl. I claim through SE Trains and there's no option to put a payment card. I can either scan a copy of the ticket or my Oyster statement.

I suggest you ask Southeastern Trains how to do this. They accept contactless cards (and in fact I used contactless cards on SE trains many times during the TfL pilot before it was launched) so there should be an established procedure. Looking at http://www.southeasternrailway.co.uk/contact-us/delay-repay/ I would suggest that you select "single journey" and upload a PDF of your contactless journey history from TfL's web site at http://account.tfl.gov.uk/

I see. If I can produce a journey history statement from my credit card then that's good enough for me.

    Thanks for the answer.

No, it's not good enough. Your credit card statement doesn't show your journey history, but your payment history. The TfL web site shows both your payment history and your journey history. Southeastern Trains needs the latter, which shows the journey start location, start time, end location and end time.

Okay, thanks. The solution is to forget about Apple Pay and continue to use my Oyster Card as PAYG. I actually only wanted to try it so as to play with the new technology. As I've said previously I'm not particularly excited about the option of using it anyway.

Why is the solution to forget about Apple Pay? Why can't you use Apple Pay and still get Southeastern's "Delay Repay" refunds? Register your physical credit card at http://account.tfl.gov.uk/ and if you are delayed, then download your journey history and submit it to Southeastern. Also remember that contactless (including Apple Pay) is subject to a weekly cap, whereas Oyster is not. Therefore Oyster can cost more than Apple Pay, depending on your travel patterns.
