American Express cards
Please note that if you link an American Express card to your Apple Pay account, online support, including journey history is not yet available in your online TfL account.
We expect this will be resolved soon. You will then be able to view your journey history dating back to when you first started using Apple Pay. You will be able to claim refunds for any incomplete journeys.0 -

It depends what you mean by electron cards.
VISA Electron cards cannot. Visa debit cards that must authorise every transaction can, although the RBS group has some weird rule not allowing their authorise all transaction cards to work with it.0 -

Just thought I'd share for a bit of entertainment that I had to re-register my cards after a failed IOS update. It was a bit of a mare yesterday when the update to IOS 9.02 decided not to work and asked me to reset to factory settings. As this would have meant a huge data loss, I decided to persevere with a restore to the backup that I had taken immediately before starting the 9.02 update.
The restore wasn't easy because itunes would not recognise the password that I thought my backup had. Eventually I figured out that itunes had used an ancient password that I could remember by a stroke of sheer luck. I had to re-start the restore process several times over as it kept locking up, with the iphone just showing the Apple logo. The itunes error messages and the Apple website were at no times of any help whatsoever but googling for help proved fruitful.
The next issue was two-factor authentication, which didn't send an authorisation code to my landline (which happily receives texts from everybody else). It was also impossible to enter the Recovery Key on the iphone. Eventually I had to add someone else's phone to my trusted devices so I could receive the verification code.
All my fingerprints and all my Apple Pay card registrations had been wiped, so I had to set those up again as well. Seems they aren't being backed up to anywhere.
All was finished after about 4 hours. Then Santander texted me at 6:41 this morning to say they had cancelled Apple Pay on my device for the two cards I re-registered yesterday. But the cards look still registered.... No such message from Nationwide.
After this experience, I must say I would very happily throw away my iPhone and never touch any Apple product ever again if it wasn't for Apple Pay. It was the second time that an IOS update completely screwed up. At least this time I managed to recover my data but Apple should be deeply embarrassed and ashamed about the dreadful quality of their update and restore processes.0 -

If you were restoring from the backup did you not have to reset to factory settings anyway? I can't think of a way of restoring from a backup without doing so.The restore wasn't easy because itunes would not recognise the password that I thought my backup had. Correct; the fingerprint is held in what they call the secure enclave and the payment details in the "secure element" both of which are isolated from the rest of the chip and iOS and not backed up. When you reset your phone the data in these locations is deleted. More info: Touch ID, Apple Pay.All was finished after about 4 hours. I presume the messages were pertaining to the cancelation of the cards which took place when you restored the device but were delayed and by the time you received, you'd already re-registered.After this experience, I must say I would very happily throw away my iPhone and never touch any Apple product ever again if it wasn't for Apple Pay. Frustrating that a small update could cause such a problem! Hopefully you don't experience the same again. My backups and restores have been plain sailing in recent times, but I do remember a time about 4 years ago when the phone ceased to function after an update and even though I had a backup I lost a lot of data.0 -

You might be right - I have no idea how they technically do it. All I know is that it's not userfriendly at all and I hope I'll never have to do it again as next time not even the prospect of losing Apple Pay might keep me from going into phone rage and throwing the whole thing out.0 -
can anyone recall the timeframe TSB used when it came to apple pay ?
Its my main bank account and they seem to be behind all the competitors other than barclays which prefers its own version.0
