I'm sat here freezing as hubby has A/C unit on full blast as hubby was finding it difficult to breathe in the heat. I think we bought the unit about 4-5years ago & can count the number of times it's been used on 2 hands. Brrrrr

I would much rather e freezing as can put more clothes on:D

Still can't go into my office, it's like stepping into a sauna. With all the work going on in the house everything is in the wrong place and we can't find the key for the window in there :eek:
The thermostat in the hall is registering a very temperate 29 for the rest of the house. I had to remain decent during the day while the plasterer was here but am now watching Wimbledon wearing just a t shirt and underwear

As for connection flights, if the whole journey is on one ticket then it is the time at final destination that counts. If you book on separate tickets then it is down to you if you miss your connection and the second flight airline could charge you full fare if you missed your check-in time because you were still in the air on the first flight. So you may get compensation from airline 1 but end up spending it with airline 2. If your journey is on one ticket then the airline must sort things out, but each airport has a MCT (minimum connection time) and they won't let you book connections on one ticket that are less than this. Remember also that compensation is only due from EU airlines or flights departing from the EU, so a journey home with American Airlines wouldn't get you any compo.

Flight was with BA & the minimum connection time was I think 40-50mins at Dallas - we could have chosen a connecting flight that left Dallas with about 20mins over this time. All was booked on one ticket, as we normally do, when travelling to US.

Basically had we cut our stop down in Dallas to the more 'normal' 1hr or 1hr 15min or not run to catch the last flight to New Orleans we'd have been 600 Euros better off each. Something to seriously think about next time! Maybe it might make others on here think before they break the speed record getting from 1 side of the airport to another.

Mild Curry Batchelors Super Noodles? I'm thinking of the wrong brand - the Golden Wonder Mild Curry have been 30p but may now be very risky as seem to be OOS (just an errant SEL in one M store, I doubt will be picked up, and no trace in another).

It now seems to be that the "value" water in T is spring water - at least it was in my store - rather than tap water.
