I see red before they even complete their first sentence! "We are simplifying our savings range":mad::mad::(. Oh no!!
Apparently, when my "Easy Saver" reaches the end of its introductory rate, it will automatically become a "Standard Saver" rather than an "Easy Saver".
"The Standard Saver... has the same features as the Easy Saver. This account will pay a lower rate of interest[:(] which is similar to the rate you would have earned on the Easy Saver at the end of the introductory bonus period...".
:(In other words, the rate of interest will go absolutely through the floor (just like Nationwide tried to "sell" me their 0.whatever percent interest as still being a good deal compared to the 5% I had before on the FlexDirect - er, I think not!), become no use and time to ditch again!
Seems they need to create an extra account, the Standard Saver, to add to the current savings account and the Easy Saver - two account before, now three - making it, to me, now more complicated than it was before as having more names of accounts than previously simplified two. (As it see it.) As usual, "simplifying":(:( things seems to be to make them more complex.
I note (though I may take things literally) that they don't say that the new account will have the "same" rate as I would have had on the "Easy" Saver (their word not mine:p:rotfl:) instead they say that it is "similar to" (whatever that means). A very important distinction and absolutely critical to me to the detail - such a vague word "similar" that again makes the position, in my eyes, more complicated and, if I took it literally, would be more unfathomable to work it out.
On a simplified level, though, I'll be simply and easily ditching when I need to!;)
Probably a bit like all these new "simplified" tariffs on gas and electricity supplies:rotfl:.
If 12 months have passed since you lost the 5% Nationwide rate, you can open a new FlexDirect account and benefit again (you may want to change your account to a FlexAccount first - you can by phoning them). Up for grabs is £78.75 TCB cashback (Premium members) and/or £100 for you/£100 for someone with a Nationwide account referring you (from today until end of July, switch has to complete by the end of August).

Has anyone else had problems with gift cards bought from Highstreetvouchers.com?
I bought £25 Asda cards, the £5 one worked, but the other 2 £10 ones keep getting declined.
I checked the balance on Asda, but got "Your balance check is failed . Error -Account Locked".
Do you mean the green ones you get through the post ? If so go to customer service in Asda and they sort it. Well they do for me if any of mine don't work at the checkout.0 -
HB in Westerhailes, Livi, Bathgate, Straiton, Dundee x2 & Arbroath had no Walkers crisps.
Luckily Forfar had some. £13.50 well spent.0 -

Panic over, I see the Shopit Walkers came through later. Must have coincided with an Elite spike on their system
.
I bought a few more earlier so will have to check them later
I think I am right in saying you have 14 days to use the voucher/claim from when you actually give your address/select Shopit or P4yp4l rather than when you enter the code off your pack? I may hang fire claiming the actual vouchers until I have received the postal vouchers and got through claiming these. But then again, I am intrigued to know if I have any more (how many) winners ...

I "think" it does that when the card is empty - possible they have not activated them correctly? You would need to phone HSV as instore may not be able to resolve as not bought from them on their system.
