I thought this receipt had an amusing back story

Firstly the shopper gave her BF - tic tacs and a new razor so he was less revoltingly to be seen out with.

Then she was taking him on a lovely picnic - chicken and mayo or cheese baguettes with apples, lemonade and squash

Finishing off with the Emerge Stimulation Drink Sugar Free and then in a few days time if her plan went Ok she would need the Freedom Pregnancy Test Strip :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    2 x ASDA Smartprice Lemonade (2L) £0.34 £0.34
    2 x ASDA White Baguette £1.00 N/A
    1 x Tic Tac - Fresh Mint (18g) £0.60 £0.60
    2 x Emerge Stimulation Drink Sugar Free (250ml) £0.60 N/A
    2 x ASDA Smartprice Chunky Chicken Breast Chunks (240g... £4.00 £4.00
1 x ASDA Chosen by You Orange & Pineapple Squash Doubl... £1.48 N/A
    1 x ASDA Golden Delicious Apples (600g) £1.00 N/A
1 x ASDA Chosen by You Mild Grated British Cheese (250... £2.00 £2.00
    1 x ASDA Chosen by You Lighter Mayonnaise (450g) £0.82 N/A
    1 x Freedom Pregnancy Test Strip (2) £1.00 N/A
    1 x Gillette Mach 3 Disposable Razors (3) £3.97 £7.90

This reminded me of a time about 10 years ago when I went into our 24 hour Asda very early - maybe 4am - to get some bits when going on holiday. There was only one till open and a customer ahead of me. She bought a pregnancy test and a tow rope. Nothing else. The mind boggles.

Sorry folks I've been out all day. I would willingly add the Santa Maria page of Mocs to the mse yopmail but want to know if there is a way of doing so without the attachment showing that it came from my personal email iyswim. I don't think there's a way of forwarding an attachment from one yopmail to another :o

Good afternoon ..you and me both Nerfy I am having new Boiler fitted next week :TTiny I think you need to go for a new to you one and don't waste your money on repairs which could last a while but eventually you will have to replace it:([/QUOT

this happened to me as well - 3 times my beloved car failed on me leaving me stranded in the midst of no where - I was driving to and from dads care home at least once a week that year so I didn't have the head space to really deal with much else - we didn't even have AA at the time

That's the problem - problems come in herds rather than one at a time.

so when the garage came and took it back for repair and the final fault was going to cost a fortune to repair it stayed at the garage and never came home again.

That weekend we went up to the garage to clear my bits out of the car and by some miracle we found another version - we thought they had stopped making it but this was one of the last models and it had all the bells and whistles on it - we part ex my duff car as well as OH car which was a year younger but would have had the same problems eventually

The savings took a massive dive and it took a year to get the savings going upwards again but even so it was def worth it - ones of those occasions when things actually worked in our favour.

so we have one car now instead of 2, one lot of much smaller car insurance and road tax bills and only one car to service and MOT each year so a saving in the long term

Have you tried these for both servicing and MOT? MOT only £24.

Thanks cjj, that is a big help I have stayed loyal to Ford over the years no idea why. :o

I always think British makes are cheaper to get parts for but must admit Mr TS has a little citroen and that is 1999 and it passed without any problems this year. Don't think we have spent huge amount on it either. It was DD1's first car and we bought if off of her.

I do love the corsa. It's a lovely car and the boot is very spacious xx

That's my worry at the moment we fill our Focus and DD2 fills her Corsa when she goes back to uni and we collect her. But must admit the boot in this newer Corsa looks loads bigger than hers. :)

The other thing is the amount of rubbish OH takes to the tip, I said if I get this newer car it would be out of bounds for that sort of thing. :o
