    also unbelievable that the person "out there" thinks the bailiffs will travel all that way and out of the jurisdiction of any UK court for a civil matter

    I don't think he thinks the bailiffs will travel out there Redx, he's just a bit worried about any outcome from courts etc (yes, even though he's 10000 miles away).

    I don't know why, he must have an idea they cant touch him. My thoughts now are it's a letter to test as to whether the address is genuine or not so they can turn their attention back to me if it's not.

    I've messaged him and asked him to e mail an acknowledgement with all the relevant details and take it from there.

    ...and that's it.

    This will confirm to VCS that the address you gave them was correct and will stop them claiming you gave a false address.

    If this letter is not replied to then VCS will revert to you (I am helping with such a case at the moment.)

    Indeed and get yourself cc'd into the e mail as further proof it was sent
