By the tone of their letter I think they are annoyed with me because I used the free overdraft for about a week and last paid into that account on the 22 May. However in my defence I did pay it off the day the letter was sent.

The letter went on to say if I have financial problems they are only to willing to help.

Nice they are so concerned but my finances are great. Bless!

I use my memorable word for login. No need to have the card to hand.

I find it difficult to remember my memorable information especially with having so many accounts so I have to use the Nationwide card reader which is a tad bit annoying.

Paper statement dates are linked to the monthly charging dates which were set in stone when you first opened the account. This also applies to savings accounts (in which case it is interest rather than charges).

i'm not sure what this means.. what are Monthly Charging Dates? M&S Bank are certainly able to change Statement Dates.

I opened an account just for the monthly saver. But I think the keypad is good because it fits in my wallet so I can take it everywhere with me. Also I'm not a big fan of apps because they are all limited compared to the website. All smartphones can aces websites so it's easy to log into online banking where ever you are.

A lot of people get drawn in by the apple marketing "an app for everything" and think they can't use their phone without them lol. Do these people also have the need to download an app for every website they use on their computer as well?

I used to find that but found that CCleaner was deleting one particular cookie each time I used it. I've now set it to retain it and it seems to remember me OK.

Tesco is not simply looking at the machine you are using but also which browser.

I found that it never remembered my computer when I had used FireFox but Chrome and IE were fine. There was obviously a setting with FireFox which meant that Tesco didn't recognise it as a set-up it had already encountered.

I don't think people are as stupid as you seem to think. It's simply that it's generally much quicker and easier to login to a banking app instead of the website.

Same thing mate. Each browser saves the websites you have been on as cookies. So if you change machine, delete the cookie or switch browser it won't find the cookie and then "Recognise" you.
