so don't switch unless you're switching from a dormant account.
- No App
- have to use the tinest security code generator ever made for everything even logging on and every payment you want to make
Will be switching again as soon as I can!

So you didn't do any research then before opening the account?0

On the plus side access to 6% regular saver and no minimum monthly pay in.0

The annoying little plastic keypad thing is rubbish, but it's worth it for the regular saver. As it stands the account confers little other benefit.0

Banking for the ADHD generation?
I will be chilling out in the Food Hall of M&S using my free £100 gift card when I've got my awful account up and running and done a switch in!:p0 -

If you ask them nicely they will replace the code generator with a large one. I had no problem getting the reader for the normal account with them and free of charge.0 -
Not having an app makes it awful?

Me too, I also still have the £100 signup money on my card. I have also already started to use my 6% M&S Regular Savings account, which will pay me top interest.
I don't exactly fancy their silly security token but that's a minor inconvenience as I only log in once or twice a month anyway.
£100 free money and the highest savings rate on a monthly saver. Truly aw[STRIKE]ful[/STRIKE]some account.
gettingtheresometime, I trust you realise you can have more than one current account? Horses for courses.0 -

tbh no. I did know about the lack of an app which I thought wouldn't be too much of a problem but wasn't aware of the farce you had to go through to log on to the internet site.If you ask them nicely they will replace the code generator with a large one. I had no problem getting the reader for the normal account with them and free of charge.
Thanks for that info - will give them a ring though it took 3 goes to get the code generator I've got so I'm not holding my breath!PeacefulWaters wrote: »Not having an app makes it awful?
Jesus.
Perhaps not awful but not user friendly as far as I'm concerned, especially when you need the code generator for everything ....as I said from logging on to making a payment to an existing payee. Perhaps when you've got used to using an app to make payments then its a feature that I would ensure is available next time.0 -
There excellent parts of the account and awful.
Access to 6% is excellent.
