Can anybody tell me if their monthly saver shows as a SO within their current account?

I got bored with the Nationwide sometimes it lets you send a payment sometimes it doesn't unless with a card reader so I downloaded the Nationwide App which works on iPad not just smart phones and so far 100% success with no hassle payments. Easier to sign in also. Guess its because when on the move and in potentially vulnerable situations you don't want to be mucking about with time consuming log in details and card readers!

If there's a problem it would refer you to use the web login but so far that hasn't happened in three months using the App and that's for amounts £1000 or more.

I have just logged into Nationwide using just my memorable information to do a transfer on their app and its went straight away without the need for the card reader. Not sure if this was because I used the app and not the main internet banking but it works for me not having to find the card reader. I have five of these now, Nationwide, HSBC, Clydesdale, Natwest and M&S, I realised you can use your card in any reader (not HSBC/M&S) so if you lose the reader worth checking other ones you may have...

I have moved from M&S now due to the internet banking and lack of app, a s I prefer to have access on the go without having to use internet access, each to their own though, go where the interest rate/incentives are. Like others have mentioned the regular saver maybe worth sticking with M&S, I moved back to HSBC and now use their regular saver.

    Yes - that's the difference.

No idea why you can login to an HSBC or FD account without a key - and they have an app - but M&S which is in the same banking group requires the security key to login (even to check a balance) and has no app.

You might be able to soon, HSBC have only very recently introduced this, so M&S might catch up. Always been able to do it with FD though (for as long as I've had the account anyway).

TESCOS is more worst as it NEVER remembers my PC
I used to find that but found that CCleaner was deleting one particular cookie each time I used it. I've now set it to retain it and it seems to remember me OK.

it is a horrible card Heng Leng;)

as an HSBC Personal and Business customer, the M&S login device was no surprise or problem for me..
i've found the service to be nice but a bit hopeless...they can't seem to alter statement dates:undecided
the RegSaver is the best rate around, but for that alone not sure i will retain the account..might just move it on for another incentive somewhere:cool:

Not wishing to hijack the thread, but having applied for the M&S Current Account my wife has been asked to call them to "discuss the application in detail". Did anyone else get this? If so, what did they ask? We're opening the account primarily to gain access to the Regular Saver, but they probably don't want to hear that...

I was asked to call them also. They asked me my gross annual income, monthly net income and how much do I spend on household bills each month. Already did this in online application! Then told you will get our decision in the post. Received email 5 days later saying I'm accepted and will get welcome pack in post.

Of course everyone will have different reasons to be asked to call and I don't know why I was asked really:cool:
