Oh for gods sake this isn't a thesis where every line and detail have to be scrutinised. Yes my oil has been changed every 6 months but since I have bought my sypon which was around 6 months ago I'm going to continue changing the oil every 5-6 months myself
So when did you last change it yourself Billy?0 -
As soon as I bought the correct cap/flute size with the right socket size and adaptor for the extension
Oh right so,about five minutes after the garge did it. That's two changes within a couple of weeks.
You really are on a mission to destroy this forum aren't you darmattter.

I personally wouldnt fit anything other than genuine manufacturers brake parts to my car and the only place i would buy them is from a ford main dealers
I would not buy brake parts or Fake parts off e bay and i wouldn't buy £2.60 far east import parts
on my car when it comes to brakes it is more life saving than money saving
Really? Even though genuine parts are just made by the same companies such as Brembo, Lockheed and Boshe? You're not buying a superior part of its genuine, just a manufacturer branded version of an ordinarily more affordable part.
I tend to draw the line at Chinese eBay stuff as they tend to lack overall quality (putting it mildly!) but have never bought car parts from China. People worry about brakes, in my opinion unnecessarily. As long as it fits, it'll work, and if it fails prematurely, it'll have a warranty.
To the OP, in seizing the other calliper could incur more labour depending on how much 'in seizing' and stripping down was involved.0 -
Just spotted a cheeky move by the garage that fitted my rear brakes. Looking at the prices for parts on the receipt I cross matched it with online prices and realised that the garage charged me 20% more for parts than online. That extra 20% was charged as VAT!
Basically I paid £22.98 + VAT for a pair of rear pads and £53.82 + VAT for a pair of rear discs! And the brand was Apec brakes which according to their prices are budget ones. Basically the garaged ripped me off for parts as I could got Pagid ones for cheaper on Euro car parts.
Is it normal for garages to do this?0 -
According to my calculations I overpaid £35 on Apec parts than Pagid parts from Euro car parts0

The garage most likely has a trade account with Apec too, so they're making an even bigger profit.0
