Garage charge for rear brakes?

Hi all,

Been experiencing strange sounds from my car everytime I brake recently and so found out today from a local independent garage that the two rear pads and discs will need replacing, as well as the rear left calliper and they also told me they have to break free the front left calliper.

They are charging me in total £300 including labour, VAT and parts.Does this sound about right or is it more on the expensive side?

I paid £98 or something like that for new pads on rear brakes last year and a wheel cylinder on one wheel and a brake pipe.

Could be a Toyota, Lexus, Audi or BMW or one of the many others he fantasies he has owned at some time.

    What model?

    Size of discs and wheels?

Some idiots claim to upgrade them.

I had all 4 discs and pads replaced a few years back, cost me under £200. Pretty sure it was actually £120 (but it was a long time ago).

But then what does a new calliper cost? Does it really need one?

I mean it is Audi, we get inflated prices in the UK because we're under the impression they're this "premium" brand.

So Audi are on a par with Dacia?

Of course they are a premium brand.
