£5 bonus for inviting friends is issued only to EU citizens or other countries too?
Assuming that you refer to Revolut, I am guessing that they do not discriminate - do you have reason to suspect otherwise?

Other posts indicate that the referral link must be used within two days and the sign up and initial top up completed within ten minutes for the referrer to receive this bonus. Maybe it's true - I have never yet succeeded. . .

What are the challenging conditions. If the sign up and initial top up only for 10 minutes, then must have top up until the card has not arrived and even not issued.

You don't need a physical card to be able to utilise Revolut. You are supplied with a virtual card immediately. All of the other functions are also open to you immediately.
  • I'm going to be using the Revolut card in Hong Kong and Japan next Easter. I'm particularly concerned about it working in Japan. Will the mag strip need activating?

Not sure where the question about mag strip comes from!
Received our cards and they just worked! Only verification process we went through was to allow us to transfer lager amounts of money - that was simple too, emailing photos of ID and you holding the ID to Revolut - all worked well!.
    Cannot help with Japan, sorry!
  • I asked about the mag strip as it seems that the activation of it is required in some countries.
I'd heard some people had had issues in Japan with chipped cards.

Early cards didn't have mag strip activated initially. New cards already activated.

Thank you Nifty for the explanation!
  • Thank you too. I didn't know the mag strip was now activated. I think Japan can be a little fussy about non pacific Rim issued cards. I guess it maybe a little soon to hear from anyone who's used this specific card (Revolut) there yet.
  • The website requested feedback on the use of the Revolut card since it is relatively new and untested. Prior to a long holiday in Sri Lanka I acquired the card, loaded it here in the UK using two methods (linking to debit card and bank transfer), opted for verification (identity approval), used it in the UK as a test and then used it while on holiday. No problems with any of this. Card has to be used in ATMs with Mastercard sign, but in one such ATM in Sri Lanka the card was rejected. However, the next ATM along in the array of different ATMs at my hotel, also with Mastercard, accepted the card. ATM's in Sri Lanka ask you what type of card it is that you are using. The choices options available do not include "prepaid card". I used "credit card" and that worked. Very pleased with the ease and simplicity of the Revolut card. Will be using it in New Zealand early next year.
