Armed robbery. You know it makes sense.0 -
I do think it's worth asking your parents if there's anything you could be paid to do at home. For example, when we first started leaving all 3 boys at home, I would pay the eldest for the responsibility, and also pay the younger two if they behaved! And I've always paid one of them to cut the grass, because we hate doing it, and would probably get a gardener in to do it otherwise. DS3 reckons he earns enough this way not to need to get a paper round, so clearly I'm overpaying him but if I try to negotiate a reduction he'll go on strike!
Obviously, because I'm not running a hotel, there are many jobs I don't pay for. But if one of mine offered to clean on a regular basis I'd cheerfully pay them to do so!
Some parents won't be in a position to pay you, but it's something to consider!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Thanks everyone for more of your great ideas0

I'm not sure i should be saying this, but when i was your age i used to buy cans of coke and mars bars from netto or on buy-one-get-one free at regular supermarket and then sell them on for profit to friends at school break times.
You really need a school locker to keep them all in though and your school might not be too happy if they found out (mine never did because i was selling cheaper than the canteen and so no-one dobbed me in!)0 -
I'm fairly sure they've banned the selling of coke etc at schools! Well they certainly did at my school when I left 3 or 4 years ago, what with the Government pushing healthy school meals I'm sure they can't still be selling coke etc. Might be in a lot of trouble if he got caught!0

Why don't you sell your old games etc in a free ads paper or maybe with parents help get together your own stuff plus friends (sell their for a small commission)0

Thanks! I like the game idea0

My brother is 12 and he has got a paper round, you officially need to be 13, but it's technically my mum's round until then.
It does get taxed this way though0 -
When I was still a student I have done so many things just to make some money for my education . I even do a lot of freelance work and also some freelance job as well which makes my studies suffer a bit. Until when I had found much easier ways to earn extra cash and that is selling my old paper into this site http://www.coursework4you.co.uk/sel.htm . If not for this I would probably have a hard time since I need to spend much time working rather than studying. I would have not recommend this only if I have not experienced it myself and I owe a lot to this company.0
