Hello, MR3! Glad you are still with us!
That made me burst out laughing, Katy. Escapee's daddy is amusing!
It's not that I pay for the physio, SDW it's that not all of the exercises can be carried out by me alone. I have a set of movements to do and I can manage the upper body but with the lower I am not allowed to use any of my own muscles. Someone has to bend my limbs and stretch them. WaSp's back is so bad that he can't bend himself to pull my legs so my carer does it for me. I really notice if I don't do them because I have so much muscle wastage combined with arthritic hips and knees. The muscles are so weak that I am in danger of pulling them if I try to exercise myself with anything other than gentle walking or swimming (which involves people around so no). It comes from 9 years of hardly leaving the house, my muscles are shot which makes arthritic pain far worse.
Good luck for tomorrow Duke, and please tell Harry that I am thinking of him.
I want a cream cake! I shall have a banana instead. The good news is banana's and white bread are staying down!
So glad you got cuddles from your others, Dragonette! Made me smile!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

This went to the ombudsman, shelter and the MP's
Hi All,
The situation on Thursday was caused by the meeting that the HA had with our neighbours.
My husband attempted to avoid Jxx by staying in the car, Jxx then approached the car and stated 'Did you report me to the council, you been taking pictures of my car, you've gone too far now Blood, you've done it'
OH went into our property and Jxx threw stones and batteries and kicked at our front door, causing damage to the front bedroom window and the front door as well whilst shouting ' come out and fight me, your dead now blood, dead now'
When I advised the HA their response was to ask what had set it off, I am afraid I wasn't very polite.
I have activated the community trigger as following my meeting with the ASB team at Castle Vale police station on the Wednesday evening it became obvious that they had been told I am just reporting this for a move, this put my husband at risk and I am furious about that.
Jxx has been back to the flat on three occasions, first time I was at Good Hope (Consultant has stated I need to get calm as a matter of urgency, I have 3 new tablets to take) and he took some of his stuff, the second he turned up with friends and had been moved on before we were aware of it and the early hours of this morning.
Previous tenants have been moved as soon as they were at risk, HAs response to myself was they wont.
Shelter has organised a homeless at home application for us, and I will make sure there is a letter from my GP, Consultant and Healthy Minds for OH to support our application for certain types of property.
Is there anything else I can do to help move the situation along, OH is obviously now scared to leave the property which added to OCD, Anxiety, Depression and Arthritis is making me even more concerned for his longterm mental health.0 -
Elsien, I don't think we've actually asked - is your 'do' in the day or evening?
Because if in the day I would do shorter (knee length to calf length) rather than longer (with the exception of Glyndebourne! - which is the traditional event where you see people on the tube in full evening dress in the day). For some reason I've got it into my head that it's a posh lunchtime or early evening event - probably because it's an academic do I think you said, and I think of people dining in halls!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Would it help to mention the other organisations that you have contacted, Melly? Such as the Community trigger? It might make them panic a bit if they think other people will be looking at how little use they have been. That is a really good letter, I admire how professional and calm you are keeping things.

Dear Mrs Moo

Thank you for your email and letting me know that the police attended last night until 7pm. I am saddened to hear that the situation has deteriorated for you.

Our response in difficult circumstances such as this is always to await contact from the police so as not to prejudice any due process the police may be following.

So I am regrettably unable to let you know what we doing as we are not aware of what the situation is. I can only imagine the distress that you may be experiencing currently and would like to offer support to you. This could be directly from our support services, Victim Support via any criminal proceedings the police may decide is warranted or a referral from us to the BRAVE project which specifically supports people in your situation through any due process in which you may become involved.

Please let me know if you would like me to make a referral or you would like to access any service that we may not be aware of. I am more than happy to visit you at a mutually convenient time if this is something you require.

Kind regards 0 -
I don't think it is uncommon for organisations to have to put things on hold when the police are involved, melly. Even though that is enormously frustrating for you. If nothing else, I expect their insurance company would expect them to do so.
Have you heard anything more from the police?:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Hi Whitewing, its not unusual, they usually move people who are at risk though (lets put it this way I personally know of 3 people who have had less happen ie verbal not physical and they were all rehoused straight away)0

Little things that make me laugh-There is a huge traffic queue outside and one person hooted their horn, another responded. Then another responded to them. Within seconds loads of people were doing it, hooting different rhythms which others would then copy. It cracked me up laughing and was totally spontaneous. I do like people.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
