I meant to put that I don't think she would use anything like that as she is very independant, does look or act her age but just really suffers walking a lot. It's definitely a suggestion though, as there were loads of people on them last time we went, way more than ever before.

I noticed today that they had smoothie packs of fresh fruit in Tescos. Was tempted to get some, but I'm not overly keen on smoothies. I always think they look good, but then I try them and end up giving it to D.

Flybaby - it's similar to the jerking awake thing but a bit harder. The heart racing think happened a while after. It's called myoclonic jerks.

Georgie - Vegas sounds awesome. I want to come too but I'm not into gambling. I get bored so easily. Is it worth it if you don't gamble? Maybe all the oxygen they pump into the casinos would revive mil? Maybe you could go slowly and take lots of sitting breaks between destinations?

I just had a genius idea. My dress is low cut and I'm not sure a brooch works. I was looking around the shops at lunchtime for a top to go under it but couldn't find anything. Then I spotted....The knickers. They had pairs of lace knickers in the right colours. So I figured if I cut the front panel on and attach press studs it would be the right shape. And if the colour or shape doesn't work, then you can never have too many pants.

Bearded one asked if he can be changed to Friday please, think he now has plans for Tuesday!

Oooh! Not sure that's allowed in "The Rools"!
Ok, then, I'll give him Paternal Licence!

Georgie, I say go for it! Never mind the maybes/what ifs! As you say, it may be her last chance.
7 days might be good, though, so she can get over jet lag and maybe have a complete rest day in the middle, relaxing by a pool etc.

Re. The motorised options, she may say no now, but when she's there and sees other, probably younger people using them, and if she's tired but wants to see things, she may well relent, especially if you call them buggies and scooters!

    :T :T

    Brilliant idea, Code! :T

code, I've done similar but I bought some wide lace from a fabric shop. Haven't got round to sewing it yet, but I've pinned it and it looks ok.

Evening all! Bananas and toast was a bad idea. Trying a small bowl of white rice later. Two mouthfuls of food are giving me hiccups because there is so much acid and I had heartburn all night. I am sulking and feeling sorry for myself again because otherwise I am perfectly fine, this is a complete pain in the bottom! (Particularly true due to the daily diawoowoo!).

I love the autumn, I am always far more optimistic during it because it just makes me happy!

I agree Georgie, go for it! It sounds like a wonderful idea! My american friend has been trying to drag me to Vegas for years, she lives in the Bay Area so it isn't that far. She tells me that people are so diverse there that no one would bat an eyelid at a blanket!

Excellent idea, Code! I used to sew the lace from lacy knickers around my gothic tops!

  • Hahahahaha! I would be, Pyxis! Visiting her is on my list of things to eventually manage, she has even offered to come here first to collect me and bring me home again. Perhaps one day when I can be sure I won't freak out on the plane! I would end up on the news...
