Morning team WaS. In an attempt to deal with the beige, today I am in plum and fishnets. Still feel beige though.
Birdie the same thing has happened to me so many times with parties and evenings out and even to some extent, my wedding where 3 people just didn't show for the day and a few didn't come for the evening. Just stopped organising things now.
Georgie - people probably won't mention your weight, and if your bil does just laugh and tell him he's not exactly Brad Pitt. I am dreading the one in 2 weeks as I think some of DH's friends from back in the day will be there and I'm sure they're going to wonder how on earth he ended up with me.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. JM! if you can, do tell! (Not if it will identify you, though!) Sounds intriguing!
It does make me identifiable, but I will delete later. Please if you respond, don't mention what the instrument is!
(link removed)You sound like a friend of mine. He'd given me a load of advice last year on ukuleles and I googled the one he had, kinda hoping it was in my price range. Brand new, it was £500. He told me it cost him £400 second hand and to think of it as an investment.:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o
I've never actually had a brand new instrument before! (Although I own *cough* several). I did part exchange another one, so Mr JM can't complain too much about having ANOTHER instrument in the houseEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
That is a cool instrument JM - and also way more expensive than I thought one of those would be. You can tell I'm not a musician.
But...it's so pretty.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
It is gorgeous, JM.
I know nothing about music either, but I do love the sound of that type of instrument.
ETA: You could have a celebratory tune for me when I hit 10, 000 posts. That will justify the cost of buying it now!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Georgie - As always I think Pyx's advice is very sound.
If someone says something nasty, you do not have to put up with it - just look at people blankly and say (politely) "I think that is rude" and walk away to talk to someone else or go into another room. You may have to attend the event, but you do not have to be made to feel bad in doing so. Try and stick with DH throughout so that you can support each other. In order to try and avoid those I know are not my type of people, I try and make a point of finding the person or couple or family at a wedding who do not know anyone else and make friends or polite chit chat - helps them to feel a little more relaxed and helps me to avoid the nasties.0 -
ok
so emailed em and told em have raised a statutory nuisance complaint.
Next step police call to add driving car at me and wheel spinning to the list of stuff
Then harassment claim to set up.
OH is stressed noise has been really bad apparently0 -

Dear All,
I am also going to log this on the online system.
Not only has the noise increased
Are we being blocked in by additional cars
Being threatened
Having cars driven at us
The little one throwing DVDs and biscuits out of a window he opened whilst unsupervised for a 20 minute period.
but the child has been encouraged to run into the side of our car and hit and kick it. I obviously dont want to report a 2 year old child to the police for criminal damage but cannot take any more of this behaviour.
Finally, I would be grateful if you could look into my request for alternative housing sent 10 days ago via email. Please could you let me know how long it will be until I receive an answer to that question as obviously, if that property is available it will resolve many of the issues and Mr Wxx indicated that a response would be forthcoming by the end of last week.
Yours Sincerely
Mrs Moo
Just sent this

Sorry you're having such a nightmare with everything Melly and that the neighbours seem to be getting worse and it's escalating. I hope someone listens to what you've reported and does something
