Guys,
I am fine. Was busy yesterday as my friend came around and played with my new toy. And chopped off the top of the cherry tree for me.
When I went to the tip he even did the washing up LOL!!! When I told my mum her reply was " is he trying to tell you something?"
:rotfl:
Some how I managed to get a little bit burnt. Need some new sun cream.
I have been reading just not replying or thanking anyone. Just in a can't be arsed mood since yesterday evening. The last few days have shown to me how lonely I am. So not sure what the best thing is to do to move forward.
I can blame my ex, the man in the moon and uncle tom cobely and all for my problems. But they are mine and mine alone to deal with and sort out.
Been thinking about why I let my ex wind me up so much. Why I reacted in the way I did to him. And turn in to a mega biatch. Partly because it got attention from him that I did not think I was getting. Wanting to hurt him and get back at him and I never knew were I stood with him or what we where doing. And my low self esteem is a mega problem.
I will be around but not posting much so don't panic. As I need to spend a few days thinking. Might even give the job agency a call tomorrow and get back in to work. The worse that can happen is I don't like the job and walk away from it.
Thanks again guys for your concern. I am very touched.
Yours

Although I too did a bit of embroidery at school, I started cross stitching in earnest after Mum kept going off the rails with her bipolar disorder.
She was a beautiful knitter, did crochet and also knew her way round a sewing machine, but on a manic upswing would start roaring through (self employed) Dad's limited cash on overpriced craft kits, luxury craft, gun and clothing catalogues, the sort of 'rare' collectibles/collections that appear in the back of magazines, mail order toot, overpriced "24K gold" gew gaws from gift shops and broken stuff from charity shops.
She quickly lost interest in what she bought and lashed out on more and more cr!p.
She hoarded it away in their huge house so that no one noticed it until Dad was almost bankrupted.
After her first major psychotic episode and after successfully getting her sectioned, he realised how parlous his finances were.
We had to explain overdrafts to him and that it wasn't £5000 in the bank, but that he owed £5000 to the bank.
He instigated a search of the house from top to bottom, thinking Mum has simply hoarded the cash - he took it extremely badly when he realised that tens of thousands of pounds were gone for good on tat, bogus and real charities and, quite possibly just handed over to anyone with a sob story.
I ended up with these kits, many of which had been opened and the threads deliberately pulled, knotted and cut and have got fairly practised at cross stitch and latch hook rug kits.
Ironically I'm a fairly useless knitter and can't crochet. I'm left handed and, on trying to teach me, Mum insisted on me using my right hand like she did.
I couldn't adapt and most lessons just ended up with her shouting at me and me crying.
The kits had instructions that I could follow at my own pace and, once I had a bit of practice, I got the hang of it.
I keep a catalogue of pictures of my finished work but once finished, I'm happy to let them go. I can't stand the sight of them after a while.
End of penguin
So yeah, I'm good at cross stitch, but once I finish this lot, I'm not buying any more... Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
Longer days wouldn't work with Gitdog, I don't think. He has a lot to answer for.
The mission for the afternoon is to find the foreign currency card I have "put safe" as I need it in a couple of weeks and it's probably too late to get a replacement. I can remember putting it away, I just have no idea where. Is there a patron saint of lost cards?
Here are some possible places:
Do you have a safe? Look in there.
Is it with your passport?
Or with your travel insurance documents?
Or with your EHIC card?
Do you have a purse or handbag that you use only for holidays? Look in that.
Do you keep stuff in your suitcase for holidays? Look in that, and in the suitcase pockets.
Do you have a holiday toiletry bag? Check in that!
Where do you keep all your important documents?
It might be with your bank stuff.
Or with your credit card stuff.
Or investments file.
That should do for starters!(I just lurve spiders!)

Will go and get it and start on it again me thinks. I worked in the garden yesterday. Done an hour in the front bedroom as starting to prep for decorating :rotfl:
So time for some cross stitch

St Anthony of Padua has smiled on me and I have found it. Unfortunately it is out of date. As is my EHIC card. And I've also remembered my suitcase broke the last time I used it. I'm possibly being slightly less organised on the holiday front than I would like. Luckily the passport is still in date. I know this because so far today I've felt obliged to double check four times already.
I'm not even looking at the flight details, because once I do I'll be checking those on a daily basis as well. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I was sad the other day when DS couldn't spend some time with us as planned. Unfortunately I was near a shop at the time, and a toy sloth was in the window. So I bought it. It will be littlewing's present from Father Christmas (family tradition for a cuddly toy).
littlewing is already so excited about xmas that she has been told not to sing xmas songs or draw santas and snowmen until Dec 1.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Hurrah! I have talked to my parents. They'd kind of discussed my situation without me there. (I knew that was going to happen) It's been decided that if I pay them some money each month, they can help me with things like shopping, etc. It means I don't have to go down the route of getting social services involved, again. Tried that before and it wasn't nice. (they ignored my needs and wondered why, despite me telling them time and time again there's certain things I can't do, I refused to do some things / would walk away / wouldn't turn up)Sealed pot challenge #232. I am a grinch. I will be found in shops over the next few months muttering under my breath about the ridiculousness of Christmas coming earlier every year.
Good news about the arrangements with your parents, Indie. Did you not get copies of the LA needs assessments to challenge the services offered. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
