I am having a panic over something so very stupid. I was doing a Google image search earlier for a pair of shoes I liked (Sophia Webster shoes but I couldn't remember the Webster part) and safe search wasn't on and on a later page an image came up which was something I didn't want to see and so, so illegal for very good reasons. It made me feel sick and I instantly scrolled back up and closed the search but I am now panicking that the police will come and arrest me immediately for seeing it, even though I didn't open it and wasn't searching for it.

Code, if it's been that easy to accidentally bring up an illegal image, then you can't possibly be the first person that has happened to. And as Melly says, your search history will show that you got rid of it as soon as you realised.
For the police to be interested, I'm sure you'd have to have more than one such image/webpage show up on your history, and probably saved images, rather than passing pages.

    code,

in your situation, I would email Crimestoppers (anonymously) or CEOP (if child-related), let them know of the search you did and the illegal material that came up and let them deal with.

That way, if there is any contact from the authorities you have been a responsible citizen.

Don't worry Code, if it was that easy to accidentally stumble across then I imagine it won't be around long anyway. Lots of people will have done the same thing and it will be quickly removed.

Calley, you don't need to make a decision about future relationships at all, no matter what has happened recently. If you feel that right now is not the time to be in a relationship then that is your decision for right now. Things can change and you may meet someone wonderful without even trying. Don't write off your future without needing to, otherwise you get tempted to grieve for the life you wanted but feel you can't have, when actually there is plenty of time and opportunity for things to change.

Just deal with now, the past has already happened and been dealt with in one way or another, and the future hasn't happened yet so you have no way of knowing how things will turn out.

Work on feeling good today and let the rest sort itself out as and when

That's a good idea! Not least because if it came up that easily, then a minor could perhaps come across it. At the very least, you'd be bringing it to their attention.
    Good thinking , Whitewing!

Pyxis is right. The police do not have time to deal with everyone who has accidentally stumbled upon an image. I certainly haven't searched for anything like that and I wish I hadn't seen it. I certainly wouldn't save it.

Whitewing, I didn't think of reporting it for some reason but emailed crimestoppers now. I don't know if it will be taken down or if they could even do anything because it was a photoshop job and nothing was actually happening in the photo (at least I hope it was photoshopped) but it was shocking and inappropriate. What is the matter with people?

Well I did get up today. Once to go and get some binge food. And then again about an hour ago as I got flake all over the bed sheets and had to put them in the machine :rotfl: Re-made the bed straight away though.

Also got no clean knickers LOL!!! So did need to do some washing. 25% off sainburys clothes on monday. So might take a little a look and buy another pack or two.

Spent most of the day sleeping. Not done any exercise and I am only suppose to do 3 runs a week to start with on the couch 2 5K with a day in between. But might go out again tonight when it gets dark and cooler.

Sat on the sofa wow what a life I lead :rotfl:Did say I would go and help husband with a bit of gardening in the morning LOL!!!Wonder if I can get him to cook me lunch ;)

{{{{{squishes}}}}}} to all. I am managing, down but managing. Filled a 6 yard (big) skip today - so pleased to see all the rubble finally gone.

Calley - do you still have any contact with the ex boyfriend by any means? How does he know you are on dating sites? You might be able to move forward easier if there is a firm line drawn under that relationship? Extra Jaffa cakes in the fort for you anyway!

We where on and for so long that I tended to keep my profiles up when I was seeing him as I knew it would last about 2 weeks at a time. Before he would get cold feet at wobble off.

He even once text me at midnight to tell me I was on a dating website I had never even heard of!!!!

Hence why I keep my phone on silent for texts. Mind you his ex told me that after they split he once text her at 6am one morning asking her how her new boyfriend was. And she also thought he was following her. I told her what vehicle he was driving at the time and there was no way on earth he could be subtle in it :rotfl:

Calley - change your number or block this guy's texts and number from your phone (there's an app for that). He's not right for you and it's better to be alone than with the wrong person.

You guys are all putting me to shame with your industriousness. Today I ate junk food, took DA dog to the park, got panicky about Google search results and had such bad girl cramps I took some cocoadmol and slept for a few hours. The communists are not only in the fun house; it feels like they're wrecking it.

I also watched some TV. Have you guys ever watched OAP Internet virgins? It's about old people who have never used the Internet being taught how to by young people who usually are vloggers. I thought it might be a bit patronising but it's really quite heartwarming. I've tried to teach my mum how to use the Internets but I lose patience after 3 hours of explaining the same thing. I watched some of the VJ day celebration too and had a wee cry at the old soliders' stories.

The crows/rooks/big black birds are back doing their roof perching, flying in groups thing which is quite cool but noisy.

Oh, pyxis, I forgot - stalker fly was not a deer or horse fly and the reason I know is because horse and deer flies find me to be a tasty snack and I'm constantly batting them away when out with the dog. I've been bitten through my clothes. They are evil. It was more delicate looking. It didn't bite me.

And I tried the dress on. Bit tight round the belly but I am still very bloated today. Looks good-ish and will be good on my holibops/picnic I'm invited to. It is quite small sized though I think as it's tight over the bosom too. And it was hard to tell as I had on a black bra and ankle socks.
