Lots of hugs to all those struggling with eating issues, its ridiculous that so many things fall between the gaps in NHS provision.

Speaking of a somewhat related note, I'm stressed by the DWP again. Penguin:
I've lodged an appeal for my ESA claim. Once they have accepted that an appeal is lodged, you can go back on ESA. I phoned them to try and sort this, but they recorded it as a new claim and no dept that I get transferred to can fix it. And my phone keeps dropping calls. I'm incredibly stressed by it and just want to hide today. Oh, and the detailed account of why I'm lying and perfectly fit to work came in the post today. Can't face that either. Its just too much today - I would cry but im chronically dehydrated atm so the tears won't come. OTOH, I started a PIP claim today, !!!! knows if I'll get that either

    Hope today improves for everyone

Is there a charity like this near you...?

    http://firststepsderbyshire.co.uk/

It may be worth trying to go down the charity support route rather than through the health route if you are finding that isnt working for you. They can often support you in fighting for the right treatment too.

The thing is I know that most people would look at me and say well she just eat to much.

Most of the time at normal meals I don't eat a huge amount. But I do think that I suffer with a faulty off switch. As it seriously it takes a lot of food for me to fill full.

    Penguin:

I can easily eat an 8oz steak/10oz gammon with chips and salad/veg and still not fill full!!!! And go and have dessert as well. And still don't fill full.

    End of Penguin

I also have a habit if I don't eat during the day I pig out at night. As its ok as I have not eaten during the day mind set.

I know I have wasted thousands of £'s over the years with this issue.

    Wish I was :rotfl:

    Penguin

When I was in my teens I use to buy fruit and nut as xmas present for my grandfather. I hate the stuff myself as I don't like raisins. I would get so desperate for chocolate I would eat the bar and spit out the raisins. And have to go and buy another bar :o

    Penguin end

I even eat cheap crappy 30p bars of chocolate I don't care. The only stuff that I can't stand is the dark stuff!!!

    Now that's vile

Ah, but I'm not immune to maple and walnut!
    Or the toffee/caramel flavours!
    Or cream!
    Or cinnamon whirls!

I do like coffee and walnut cake. And carrot cake but they ruin it by putting in raisins

And a nice Cinnamon whirl. Not had one of those for ages.

  • Happy Birthday Georgie! I am so glad it isn't just me who does the clock staring thing.

I am also raging on your behalf, Ginger. Binge eating is a recognised ED symptom. Of course the centres take people over 25, I was offered a place at 36. What an annoying woman! When you see your psychiatrist talk to him about the SSRI called Escitalopram. It may not be right for you but I take it because I can't take any of the other SSRI's. It is pure serotonin without the rest of the chemical stuff included. It is expensive so they don't offer it as a first choice

Dragonette, big hugs. Look at your letter tomorrow, not today. The jumping through hoops is tiring enough. Do a little each day.

Big hugs for you too, Calley. I hope you feel a little better this evening.
