GP appointment does sound useless as you say and I agree with Eager Elephant they want people to take that first step that's exactly how they did it with us and I made OH got to Avalon who was downstairs from the doctors surgery. As I've day before they do one to ones with relatives and I found it useful as you find out what's available and you are kind of prepared. I might be called something else in your area but I bet there is one.
Take it steady on your foot you don't want to overdo it would be horrible if out had problems again and had to wear the boot. Hope it doesn't rain at the car boot or do it next weekend.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Thanks Skinny and EE and TG for the advice....have googled substance misuse programme in our area and there is one but you have to want the help and sadly he doesn't. He will just say anything at the time that might pacify the situation, but then not follow it through. If I have learned any thing over the years it is to never underestimate an alcoholic, he really deserves an Oscar for his performing lies.............. 20 steps backwards this weekend, angry and sick of thinking/talking about him to be honest, clearing my head and moving on ......sorry for having these constant mega rants xx
Carboot went really well made a smashing £82, have put £70 into my mortgage pot and £10 into EF also had a fab time with my beautiful D mama and Dsis.....not laughed so much in ages....:D
Have decided to take an evening course, not sure what yet but something good to focus on for me,also might raid EF and disappear with DS for a couple of days nice short break in the country....lots of good positive things to think about..........:T

Sorry to hear its 20 steps back I know that feeling far too well. Google support for relatives too I think it would really help you not in a group but as a one to one. Anyway glad you are doing something for you evening courses are great find something that interests you and go for it I say. Also time away with DS might be just what you need take the dog of course.Save £12k in 25 No 49

I have been reading along for ages, mentally cheering you on, but not commented. Popping my head round the door to say that if you scout around, many places now happily accept dogs as guests. Sometimes there is an extra charge, but not always.
We have taken our border collie (avatar) to cottages, caravans, chalets, hotels (she understands that different rules apply to those at home and stays in her bed and doesn't get on the furniture (well she might have a sneaky try, but only needs reminding once:D)
Don't know where you live but as an instance some friends of mine are away at a very smart hotel in Wales for a short break with their Westie and the room rate for her is £10 per night.
A break for you DS and dear dog sounds just what you need, good luck in finding somewhere. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Hello Maddiemay....your very welcome to pop in to my roller coaster of a life anytime Lol
Do seem to off load more about my personal rubbish than I do my savings and mortgage journey, often wonder if I get on peoples nerves sometimes.
Thanks for the tips, haven't found anywhere yet but will keep searching...........
Your little doggy sounds quite well behaved, mine on the other hand has been far to spoiled and if I told her to get down from the furniture she would probably look at me like I was mad. In fact as I am writing this she is sat proudly in her favorite spot "end of the sofa, on her favorite cushion" next to the window watching the world go by and looking like the queen of Sheba..........just love her to bits Xx0 -
Not getting on my nerves for sure. I sympathise entirely." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
