Thanks Husky it would be a great suggestion but all of his family are heavy drinkers and I have tried speaking to them already more-than once, even told them about his blood pressure and how he was seeing the doctor....... they then bought him 2 bottles of 43% proof whisky 4 days later ( not very nice people ).........that was the last straw have now distanced myself from them all TG and happier for it...................
Its good that you are taking your health concerns seriously and looking after yourself...lots of medications and alcohol don't mix well.................Hope you keep well x0 -

Sad really Husky, but good that you have found a clever way to avoid any hassle and look after your health at the same time....................:)0 -
OH appointment with Doc complete waste of time……gave him a lecture regarding the perils of drinking too much, some leaflets about the effect of alcohol on your health and help with AA. Did ask him to make appointment in few weeks but doubt that will happen. Pretty pointless to be honest. At least for now he is still doing well, and peace and quiet reigns for that little while longer. I don’t feel to down heartened as I hadn't expected a magic tablet so as always have to just get on with things and focus on my mortgage, for now anyway! ……..
Right back to my savings with £5 paid into my EF today. Should also have a good fair bit to pay off my mortgage next week as soon as all my DD are taken. Also back to work soon, looking forward to it to be honest………………………………….:)0 -

Terrible night tossing and turning...and familiar nightmares creeping in once again....feel rubbish this morning cant seem to wake up:(
Supposed to be having a family day out today ...countryside, nice meal but taking nothing for granted................saying that OH is in a great mood, but he would be, after all Docs appointment went just how he wanted (slap on the wrist) and theirs me walking around with a face like a slapped Ar** Lol....but determined to not let it get me down..................OH NO
DSis wants to do a carbooty on Sunday and the cash can be put to good use, but I am worried about over doing it with my foot, might be over cautious but still slightly tender if I walk or stand to long........
Need a new printer, my old one broke yesterday, smashing little printer aswel... ink seeped right through he machine onto the floor, got everywhere on my hands, the wall even on my lovely charity shop sofa...managed to get it off thankfully. Sooooo now in need of a new printer....a necessity with the business.....might look in the chariity shops for something similar or Teabay....not one for change, as you might have noticed , stuck 30 years with OH
Another cuppa tea me thinks this morning, just might give me the well needed enegy boost
Wishing everyone a Happy, Happy weekend xx0 -
Sorry the GP apt did not go as well as you wanted it to.
In my area if anyone speaks to their GP about substance misuse they are given the details of the local treatment centre and they have to refer themselves by phoning and going in for a chat.
It's surprising how many people can't get past this first hurdle.
Previously GP's would refer and the patient would be given an appointment which some did not turn up to so a waste of resources and more waiting time for people who did want help.
I prefer the new way as it's shows people want to overcome their addictions. Once they start attending they attend every week/few times a week depending on what help they need and the success rate is really good.
In my area we have Turning Point who run the substance misuse programmes - maybe do a google search for substance misuse and your town or do any of the leaflets have any details?
Hope today goes well.0
