Whoo hoo a smashing £430 off mortgage today :T....seemed a lot so went over finances once again, remembered my xmas savings of £250 saved over the year, forgotten all about that cash and had already bought DS gifts so into the mortgage pot it will go, not going to waste on extra gifts "keeping strong". I do need a few smaller gifts for family, but determined not to go overboard .
Wanted a small xmas tree but didn't want to pay for small xmas tree, then lucky me found one at the carboot last Sunday £1 bargain....
Off to meet Dmama today, then busy, busy....

Mortgage savings are going better than expected, still amazed at gold windfall and especially as it is so close to xmas, :T. Only need few small pressys for family and done....:)
Have £50 in shopping vouchers with £20 still needing to be registered, all from OH boiler installations very nice perk and even better can spend in Icyland towards xmas shop.
Received belated birthday voucher yesterday giving free bingo books and box of chockys so nice free bingo night this Monday
DS has listed four of his guitar collection on gummytree.... hoping I might be inspiring him to let go of some of his unused mountain of stuff....
Grabbing as much overtime as possible before xmas will be great to pay another massive chunk off mortgage in January....have even been cleaning some of OH refurb properties (sideline) myself instead of paying a cleaner "not a very nice job depending on how the previous tenants have left",especially whilst I am approaching the bathrooms with full plastic getup, my marigolds and my OCD firmly screaming RUN
Oops running late Shower time and busy busy0 -
Have no description for this weekend, only I will be happy to wake in the morning to the peace and quiet of an early Monday morning.0

Monday morning....house quiet and feels perfect.
Terrible weekend with OH and his problem, xmas approaching I am struggling with the mere thought.
Need a distraction....my mortgage and saving every available penny is now more than ever my no1 priority.
I have £30 given to me by my D mama for xmas, I am putting this into mortgage today, I need nothing but piece of mind and I am sure she wouldn't mind me doing this if she new the reasoning behind it.0 -
Hit the 67,000 mark :T:T:T:T

Oooh, DSis has asked to borrow £3,000 out of the blue and being me and put on the spot . I agreed, now I am regretting agreeing but what could I say, she is aware I have savings and it would have seemed cruel to say no as she is really in a tight spot at the moment. To take 3,000 out of my savings is really cutting me, I am gutted! to me my savings for my mortgage is much more than just cash, it is my safety net for a future of growing uncertainty's. Opened my big mouth only a few weeks ago about some of my savings and now I feel that I may have been played and then I feel guilty or a bad person for thinking this. Don't know what to do, put in an impossible position and annoyed
. As if I haven't got enough on my mind with OH off work soon and xmas approaching .
I can only try and save harder than I have been already, put in more overtime at work and need to get Teabay back on track, cut back to the bone on everything.
£5 paid into mortgage this morning.
