Ooh my gosh what a spendy day yesterday turned out to be . Mackys £10, train fare £15, sweets, drinks and then give up counting the cost by 2pm. The major cost ….guitar £670 with bag and strap, thought DS might go for a Fender apparently they are one of the best “some cost over £1000 so counting my lucky stars really, could have easily been more”. Worth every penny though, he has had a grin from ear to ear since we brought it home and found they are at least £100 more online….nice surprise
Ds also decided to help with the food shop….£20 more at the checkout than the usual ouch.
Only Thursday and purse is empty lol..................
OH left this morning 6am for a night working away, back tomorrow teatime. After last weekend I won’t feel at all bad in admitting I am thankful for a very peaceful break even if it is only one night, caught myself singing at 7am hmm
Meeting D Mama for a cuppa this morning……then chill:)

Lovely quiet rainy day love the rain
Dyed DS hair bright red…an unusual look but he loves it….. To be young and carefree again, if for only one day lol

Rainy night and morning "lovely", day off today and I am at a loss at what to do. I am not used to ever having a day for me….don’t really know what to do with myself, keep looking around for something to do. “ironing is piled up, but don’t want to waste my day”.
Even molly moo keeps giving me a funny look as if to say…why aren’t you rushing around?
Thing is still raining so can’t even I could take her out.
D Mama is on her way to London, visit her sister, would usually be checking on her.
OH still away gets home teatime and he is a full time job with overtime!, Has been a quiet and peaceful couple of days with no stress and no mess. I woke this morning to a house as clean and tidy as yesterday, wow had no idea how messy he is until now.
I have been given an insight into how different my life could be, I envy the normality other people have in everyday life and which feels so strange to me. I really had forgotten what normality feels like until now and it feels good. Makes the approaching weekend even more of a dread.
DS still in bed, probably won’t see him till lunch time….making the most of his week off University.
Decided I am going to have an easy day and take my time ….
Not a penny left in the pot this week to put into mortgage BooHoo….do have some items on my teabay so maybe by Monday. Next week will be the same unless I have a win at the bingo Monday night.

Strange week, seems to have whizzed by, have not been able to concentrate on one single thing, not a minute to myself….need to get organized today. Meeting D Mama this morning, then work on putting my life back in some sort of order.
Also been very silly with money….hmm, just goes to show those bad spending habits are not easily shaken off….

DS 21st tomorrow ....trying soooo hard to keep this weekend calm and myself, Worried that DS happy birthday will be spoilt. OH seems to believe it’s a good reason to hit the booze as always...not that there needs to be a reason with him of-course! Part and parcel of who he is and at the moment he is well and truly off the wagon. Thankful that DS is tea total……………. living with Mr Hyde for the last couple of weeks, so feeling really down and having to put a happy face on is even harder when all you want to do is scream your head off
……again a well needed sound off through my diary.
Have lost all focus and interest as regards to my debts & mortgage and can’t seem to pull myself back up. I normally use the bad energy to give me more strength towards putting away every penny for my Mortgage, but I think I am just mentally exhausted…………I have also put around a stone on in weight, which has shocked me as I have always been roughly the same weight. Middle age spread I am thinking, or am I comfort eating more likely ….not keen on the double chin I have aquired:eek:
Going to try and get back to my debts and spends. I have bought laminate flooring for my living room £350 including joiner fees, then bought a sideboard only £125 new, which is strange for me as I rarely buy new furniture, normally like something with age not sure why. £50 spend on computer game as surprise for DS….shouldn’t have but what the heck.
I have got roughly 120 to pay off my CC on Monday….so result there, but major – reductions on my mortgage savings….will work out when weekend is over and feeling more relaxed

OH actually on his best behaviour all weekend, proof he can do it! DS had a fab birthday, so relaxed at last….:D
£500 spend last week very bad, this includes flooring, joiner, birthday, and CC, plus lots of silly spends. I also need to get my Teabay sales back on track
Have deducted 500 from mortgage savings, but have savings interest due on Thursday, a good amount to put back into mortgage by end of week.
Floor to be laid Tuesday so busy, busy day tomorrow, paint brushes/rollers at the ready today, skirting boards, walls and ceiling whilst room is emptied.
New sideboard gave my old mahogany fire place an outdated look. Good solution to sand down and under coated then use a lovely ivory satin furniture paint to cover the mahogany, hoping to finish by tomorrow…., will save me buying another….so fingers crossed for a beautiful new look fire and a good saving to boot, might make up for my spendy week last week, we will see!
Right lots to do…………………………
CC 5,130…. Mortgage £33,860 (66,140 paid)… Debts to Date0 -
Ooh after months of careful spends I seem to have lost total control and gone literally off the Richter scale in the space of one week. Bought a sofa today £195 with delivery…plus point didn’t buy the £800 corner suite I spotted first so slight progress somewhere along the line, whew thank goodness! spotted it this morning in my local charity furniture shop, beautiful and sooooo comfy couldn’t resist, then spotted coffee table on yum tree another £50……………….
I will definitely start being strict with the purse strings as from tomorrow. Hmm do want a nice rug lol then spendy spree is over.
Flooring getting laid tomorrow, picked up coffee table and sofa delivered tomorrow. fire surround painted and looks great, now fits in with the room and all for the cost of a £10 tin of paint….
Will have a brand new living room tomorrow……..all excited!! :j
even OH still really trying, loving the peace...... I do live a life of confusion!!

You will find your way back on the wagon, it sounds like you've found a few bargains, and have a new budget living room.

Pet insurance are not coughing up for molly moos last visit apparently because it was an appointment for an eye infection and not the usual urine infection they will be taking excess of £65 annoyed beyond belief. Due to it being a different ailment and not an ongoing problem they won’t pay out. The good news is if she gets another eye infection in the next few months then they will pay the full cost…daylight robbery, wonder if it counts if it is the other eye…hmm should have asked.
Then £395 on my argosy card 6 months interest free, was going to pay it all off before the 6 months and because of the last 2 stressful weeks, totally forgot. Charged £81 interest and a £12 late fee on top for good measure, Will be paying off full amount tomorrow, just as annoyed with myself for forgetting………almost £100 down the drain
Used my CC today £60 spend, I know bad, bad, bad……
Wasted £10 on online bingo….haven’t done that for months…:o
Can’t seem to get back on track, what’s wrong with me?
