OH had one of “his nights” as I call them, part and parcel of his problem really
…..just wish he could see how it effects everyone else around him. He is trying and I know he is gutted when he lets everyone down, I am trying to be supportive, but my g*d it is so mentally draining. Every time it happens it gives me a massive realization of my life’s situation and my motivation to carry on saving for the future gets stronger, without allowing any guilt to creep in because of the saving secret ....who knows what lies ahead?. Self-preservation kicks in and makes me more determined to pay my mortgage than ever. That way I am achieving something positive for the future and not dwelling on the negative.
DS day went a little better than he expected on Friday, he managed to stand up and give a presentation in a classroom full of new people, although in his words he feels it went badly “always putting himself down” he really should see the massive achievement in doing it in the first place….I know I would just freeze!
Off to carboot in this morning with D sis, up and out early….get the bargains. Hoping to find some curtains for my newly transformed living room, well saying that I’m not liking the painted green as time goes on, maybe once I get the curtains and other bits and bobs it might come together.
I am also without a bathroom sink at the moment, OH took the old one out yesterday as it was cracked and leaking, and causing the bathroom to constantly feel damp, the wall behind is flaking and damp. Having to wait till it dries out before re-plaster a new sink put in, more cash but we did get a fab bargain new sink only £43 from B&Qy.
£10 paid of CC............
Oh another thing whilst I remember, I have applied for a water meter....we should save approx £100 a year, this is another thing I had been putting off for a long, long time so well done me hehe

Stressful weekend with OH
feeling so drained this morning and certainly not in a very understanding mood with him either. I feel understanding should go both ways, but when it comes to "his problem" then it is one way...his way and alcohol. Sometimes I envy single people and the freedom that comes with it. Well "what doesn't break you makes you stronger"I am hoping that applies to me....certainly makes me much more determined to save.
I am so pleased for Monday and a quiet, peaceful morning:D
Bought a few bargains at the carboot on Sunday, will list them this evening.
Made £15 profit from last weeks listings last night, so good result, will pay into mortgage.
Also should be able to pay some extra cash into mortgage today left over from overtime.
Time to make a move, maybe a shower might give me some well needed energy....0 -

Lovely sound of rain drops this morning…..:)
Have cheered up this morning, had a good talk with OH and without going into too much detail we have decided to try another approach, also a good night sleep so feeling a lot more energetic.
£20 Paid into mortgage this morning….I have roughly £11 in my purse to get me through the rest of the week, optimistic I can make it last till Friday, challenge in its self.
Also have £10 M&S voucher and £5 morrissy voucher so should have cash left from shopping budget on Thursday

Have £100 left over from HK allowance last month, confused as to how??….I have checked all of my DD and they are all up to date….Have double checked till the end of October and finances up to date to cover future DD, when lowest predicted income comes in, soooo very baffled this morning. All I can think is I had totally overestimated last months outgoings, but not complaining at all. Thought I should really double, double check later before I flung at my Mortgage, but couldn’t wait so did it online this morning. Panic later if I have got it wrong....
Also....Have paid another £20 off CC this morning, combined profit from 2 bags sold online.:)

What a hectic couple of days, did a travelling marathon yesterday with DS back and forth to Uni 4 times, brainwashed with buses and trains. Today has been just as crazy, very hectic....but productive, and got soaked need to get fluffy jimjams on.
Had a spend today, but a very good bargain....found some curtains in the sale only £17.99, 2 cushion covers to match 2.99 each and matching tie backs 1.99, £26 total…then had to buy curtain rings £6….total spend £32
My windows are massive and really needed double the length I’d bought so I sewed plain cream curtains, which I had under the bed for years to the bottom of the new ones. They have turned out surprisingly fabulous, even if i do say so myself….can even tolerate the olive green now.
Crap electricity just blown, had to go round every socket to see what was tripping it….it was the outside light in the end….what day! will force a smile

Thanks for the Huggs Skinny....well appreciated as my week doesn't seem to be getting any better I’m afraid…:(
After 30 years you would think I would throw in the towel finally.... but I don't!! and I don't know why??????
Good to have this diary, gives me somewhere to spit out my anger and frustration.
Major panic day after losing my DS concert ticket, just given him the bad news this morning after turning my house literally upside down and he took it quite well really "he's a good kid".....making me feel even worse, because I could see the disappointment he was trying to hide...Id buy him another ticket but venue is sold out
Looking on the bright side my saving is going quite well.
Lots of good luck with the kitchen plans and I hope things are running a bit smoother at your end of the world
must be lovely to have your DD home x0 -

Have made a major spend this morning, DS 21st birthday next month and the tickets for a certain metal band he has been bursting to go see went on offer, considering I have lost his other concert ticket for next week it’s the least I can do ….He deserves it totally. Have checked out the travel costs and hotel for one night, will cost approx. £250 all in…. must admit still praying “ Oh g*d please let tickmaster come through and re-print DS a ticket for Tuesday”, but hopefully this new concert might soften the blow.
My molly moo needed another vet appointment tonight, had a not so nice accident and piddled on my sofa yesterday and I sat in it, yuk…then noticed some red in her wee yesterday again so looks like another water infection again lucky I have insurance, .
Plasterer worked late, just finished skimming bathroom wall were sink had leaked, looking smooth and much better even before painted. Can you believe it has made my night…. well I have been waiting 10years to get it done.
Having a couple glasses of wine tonight…. feel well deserved after a very stressful week.
Had a very down, depressing day yesterday….must say not looking forward to the weekend ahead after last week, but no point in worrying.
£100 paid into mortgage…plus £30 paid off CC….so things looking good on the saving front
CC 5,300…. Mortgage £34,190 (65,810 paid)… Debts to Date0 -
Quiet weekend so far....................still early, so not counting on it staying that way........
Still not a peep from Tickmaster regarding re-issue of DS ticket, also don't think Toppycash has gone through when purchasing new concert tickets, unless it can take a few days to show.
Off to carboot tomorrow with D mama and Sis, look for items to sell….last week’s items at a cost of £10.50 have bids up to almost £30 good result, they finish tomorrow night, so fingers well and truly crossed.
Also won £20 on scratch card OH gave me, cashed in and paid straight into mortgage pot
,
£30 paid off CC from very careful food shop and help from £10 and £5 vouchers ….
CC 5,270…. Mortgage £34,160 (65,830 paid)… Debts to Date0 -
