Possibly. Buyers seem to be coming in at about 6075. Looks like the market has tested that point 4 times today at least.

sterling well down below 2$ - and we had financial commentators only two weeks ago saying that sterling would be staying above $2.500-600 this year. a week is a long time in forex. strength of sterling was having an impact on reducing inflation. inflation numbers could feasibly go up now...

It's testing another low by the look of things - 6040.

No time to look but I bet some serious bargains are appearing amongst the utilities, fags 'n' booze and gambling firms.

I don't know about you, but that's where all my income goes to.

That's because you live the life of the cosmipolitan-young-girl-around-town, flitting from bar to party to restaurant like some beautiful social butterfly where as I am a broken down old banking hack, forced to spend his meagre pennies, hard earned as they are, on fripperies like food and childrens' shoes.

The Dow is dragging the FTSE back up.

Would now be a good time to put a few hundred quid in one of those ISA's that are tied to the FTSE100?

Yes just a blip. Some good bottom fishing at around 6050. Gains for the rest of the week imo.

Personally, I think it's best to max out your cash allowance before doing that.
