    Thanks all.

Tested using the 2nd stick in the pack - again came up straight away bright blue line within seconds.

Decided that still wasn't enough for me so drove back to Tesco to get Clearblue - which says 'Pregnant - 3+', which according to the pack dates me at 5 weeks or so

Will phone doctors tomorrow - what happens now though?? Had some bleeding which I thought was my AF (which is why I'm so confused about the positive!!), so hoping nothing is wrong?

Bleeding isn't necessarily a sign of anything to worry about, it's fairly common in early pregnancy. However, I'll caveat that with heavy bleeding and significant pain is probably not good (source - experience) and needs checking out.

    My Mrs did 5 tests!

To be sure, to be sure, to be sure, to be sure, to be sure.

    Congrats!

Also, when you say coming off implant - do you mean in your arm or IUD? What did you see the doctor for that he recommended pregnancy test? I should probably say that none of us on here are doctors and if you are worried dial 111.

    Yes, implant in arm.

I was actually phoning to see when hormones and things usually settled down as I hadn't had an AF since its removal and had some funny symptoms :o:o

    She suggested a test... :rotfl:

Implantation bleeding is very common and doesn't mean anything is wrong at all. Same thing happened to me with one of mine. She's currently lying on the floor, kicking, in the rudest of health. You sound like you're happy- congratulations.

    Congratulations!! Definitely a BFP then!!

Just to add, it is indeed possible to get a false positive. I got one on a trip to A&E with horrendous stomach pains, where they automatically do a pregnancy test. the nurse came and told me I was pregnant. I was terrified, and them horrified when my then BF said it couldn't possible be his!! I insisted on another test, then a big emergency then came in. It was the longest 45 minute wait of my life, but thankfully second test was negative.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I've only ever heard of false positives in hospital too!
