Just pile it up on the other side of the lane!

I'm not prepared to do that. I didn't like the tone of previous messages from them that implied it was *me* dumping it there in the first place, I know for a fact they take photographs (they've sent me ones before), you can guarantee that they have photos of how it looked when both Mrs Useless and Counciller Even More Useless "personally visited" the site and you can bet that the second something they can prove was "my property" ends up outside my boundary, they'll nail me for it. Not taking the chance.

    Three things are pretty evident here;

    1) the council is not your friend and are going to offer you no help

    2) you are going to have to clear up this latest junk, or face further harassment and possible fine from your friendly local council

    3) unless you are prepared for this vicious circle to continue, as soon as you clear this lot up you need to put up a fence or some other barrier to prevent future tipping on your property.

Numerous good suggestions have already been made by various posters in the 5 previous pages, perhaps it's time to just bite the bullet and do something to help yourself put an end to this?

I know, my dad has offered to help finance a fence and I actually got a quote tonight so, it's in hand now. I plan to get rid of what I can by dumping it in my wheelie bin but it'll take a few weeks to get rid of it seeing as we only have fortnightly collections round here.

Of course, as I clear it, more will appear in its place though.... :wall:

That's good news, hopefully the end is in sight for you?

What if you just fill your wheelie bin, and move the rest into your back garden for the time being, or store some in your garden waste wheelie bin temporarily, just to allow you to erect the fence?

That will hopefully put an end to more rubbish appearing on your property, and you can just get rid of the rest over a couple of weeks, as you suggest?

4 heras fencing panels would cost you about £50 including feet from ebay
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

    Evening all. Behold!!!

Below is a pic taken a couple of weeks back after it was barely touched by the council:

Below is a pic taken yesterday evening (after I spent a couple of hours clearing as much as I could into my wheelie bin and about 10 other other black bags, all that will hopefully be taken on bin day next week):

Right now after some work that was done today....

Now, let's hope that kills the problem once and for all... finally!! :D

Gives you a chance to tidy the garden at your leisure now... and maybe be able to use the garage as an outbuilding for your own rubbish ;)

As an aside, read this thread and did a lot of :rotfl: The council response is kind of... amusing. Now I am late to the party but, if you need to contact them again, play the game even if they appear to be the worst jobsworths of jobsworth city. Once you back a local authority into a corner they certainly *won't* help you, so even if you feel wronged or their responses are crazy, play the game and stay unfailingly polite.
