Force companies to make more decisions based on social outcome rather than profit.
A simple way to do this is to keep a leaderboard of most socialy acceptable companies.
And Money saving expert can start this by not just rating the best deals but the best social responsibility deal so that if it costs a little more to go with a better company then do that.
Companies will soon start to see the benefit of social responsibility as people will buy more from a more responsible company.
Some of the things to look for in a company:
    % turnover donated to charity
    Staff say in corporate direction
    Transparency of operations

Charges for using public toilets should be illegal
We've all been there, caught at work, late for the train, stressed out, busting for the loo, search your pockets and no change ! and the other scenario - your on a long car journey, one of the kids is bursting so you pull into a public parking area only to find that the loos are chargeable and you cant find 30p in change. Its an ridiculous system, sends out the wrong message to visiting foreigners, is awful for the elderly, feeds the selfish society culture, will raise very little money, makes everyone angry and is a real inconvenience !
  • Replacing the 'Easter' bank holiday with an 'Early Spring' bank holiday on a fixed date would make planning much easier for many businesses. Schools and the tourist industry would particularly welcome a fixed date. Only one per financial year also simplifies budgeting. How about second Monday in April?
  • Tax Credit Scam

Working Tax Credits should not have to be repaid if your job finishes and you can't find another one immediately. If you don't work a FULL financial year you have to pay them back. This leaves the worst off families with a new, often very large, debt. It's a con!

No more monthly line rental for my home phone that I NEVER use !!

Gas & Electricity daily standing charge, just add it to the unit charge and then you pay for what you use, at the moment if I go away for 2 weeks and use NO gas or electricity I still get charged something.

Why am I charged an added fee for using direct debit to pay my TV licence, most places give you a discount if you set up this way to pay............AND while i'm on a roll, why do I still have to pay for the BBC, I want the option to pay if I use it like I opt to subscribe to Sky.
  • People suffering from dementia or Alzheimers disease should not have to pay for their care

People who are dreadfully ill with dementia or Alzheimers disease should not have to pay for their care - the NHS should stop trying to make out that those people do not have a primary health care need when anyone with an ounce of intelligence and compassion can see that they do.
  • Dart charge! £2.50 each trip. The toll money has paid for the crossing multiple times over so lets abolish this hidden tax on the motorist. Also now its all automated does it really reduce congestion? When there was manned tolls at least it employed people and also ensured that visiting foreigners were also charged accordingly, like I am when I drive on the continent.
  • single parents on government benefits should have benefits capped at a lower rate or even suspended unless they provide details of other parent to ensure that fair maintenance payments are being paid, or can be chased for by the state. Which could then offset benefits, may also reduce unwanted pregnancies, reduce the burden on social housing etc.

Ban ticket tout websites like viagogo and restrict online ticket re-sales to the face value + booking fees.

Make every local authority recycling schemes the same and make it mandatory to recycle every material it is possible to recycle.

Inform people about types of plastic which can be recycled using the number codes on the packaging designed for that purpose rather than vague terms like 'drinks bottles but not margarine tubs'

It's so frustrating when you move and you find that your local council collection won't take this or that but will take other stuff when it's really difficult to find out what they will take in the first place!!
