    Abolish the TV Licence
The virtually universal consumption of BBC broadcasts on TV, tablet, mobile etc. means this is a universal service and should be funded from central taxation using agreed formula to set the budget.

    Simplify Income Tax
Increase tax free earnings allowance to £23k, the benefits cap, and introduce a single flat rate of income tax above that point.

    Primary Healthcare outside working hours
Incentivise or require GP’s and Dentists to provide service until 10pm each evening and at weekend, to improve accessibility to the working population without having to take time off work. This is common in other countries so why can't we do it here?

Outlaw PFI and unwind existing PFI deals
Economic madness - like buying your house on a credit card. Costs are crippling the NHS and will continue to do so for decades to come, preventing true investment in services. An economic millstone that must be removed.

    Protection for Gift card purchases
Retailers selling gift cards must deposit the value of each card sold in an independent escrow account, from which it is retuned when the card is redeemed. If the retailer ceases to trade, the gift card money taken is protected and can be re-claimed by the card holder.

Get rid of Income Tax and National Insurance and have one Progressive Personal Taxation.

    example
first £10k of income No Tax
    10k to 12k apply 2% Tax
    12k to 14k apply 4% Tax
    etc.
    30k to 32k apply 22% Tax
    etc.
    upper limit (say)
    over 60k apply 50% Tax

OK actual rates may vary to make Tax burden roughly neutral, but advantage in everyone can easily work out how much Tax they will pay!

Part paid for by; A collapse of the black-economy; By not manufacturing the cash & From booming card suppliers.

If everyones payment, of say £20, cost them 10p if they used cash, then cash would wither away almost overnight.

The UK economy would become extreemly efficient & the UK might lead the cashless revolution, instead of having to buy it from more advanced countries over future decades.

Notice when ‘interest free’ is ending

Several credit cards offer an enticing interest free period. But when it lasts 18+ months, it’s easy to forget when this is due to end. Banks should give 1 months’ notice when interest rates are due to kick in, to give you a chance to pay the outstanding balance in full.

We all know that when you by a product from a supermarket you can see the comparative price per 100g for instance, in smaller print. But why advertise a product as 'Per Lb' then use kg's or 'each' to show the comparive price. They only use this ploy to try and show a product at its apparent cheapest price point or to hide the real cost of the item. As an example one variety of Cooked Ham with a 'price per kg' figure with another as 'per slice'. Sort it! :j
