    Oh CY it's good to hear from you, and you sound like you're listening to that body of yours. Get lots and lots of rest and we will all be rooting for you and praying it's nothing sinister xxx we are always here if you need to offload!

    I've had a rather productive evening, I emptied the spare room of bed and carpet etc. I've filled all the holes left by curtain fixings and so on, and I've done one very light coat on the doors, inc the built in cupboard. They weren't too bad - no marks or anything, so I just wanted to brighten them up, don't want to overload with too much paint so a single coat might be all for those. Also did the frames. The worst bit will be painting the ceiling. Yuck.

    I've now had a shower, warmed some soup and got myself into bed. I'm going to do my online shop I think, to come Sunday night, but need to meal plan lots of snacks and kiddy meals - I always forget to get extra at school holidays :o

    Tomorrow I'm going to start with the windowsills, bit of sanding and one coat of emulsion on the walls, then maybe a drive out to the tip if I need a break. Followed by painting the ceiling, another coat on the walls, and hopefully time for the skirting.

    I won't rush too much, but it's quite a small room with a rather large window, so I'm hoping to not run into Sunday. Would be nice to have the morning to myself... ;)

    Big hugs to CY. It sounds like you and your f.a,ily are going through the mill. I thought I hadn't seen you on here for a while.

    Also, gws wishes to dawn and natty. X x

    Not a lot done today as husband went back to bed! He was tired! It was his day off! (So he told me). Apparently on your day off you go back to bed or play on the chrome Book! Must remember that one!

    I did a bit in the bedroom and kondoed my underwear!! Socks, pants, bras and tights all in my two drawer bedside table! Have been quite ruthless, although the there seems to be lots of socks! In my defence I have white running socks and dark running socks for muddy runs plus my normal ones! I did throw some away though! OH asked what I was doing and was impressed when I had used 1/3 less space than they had been taking up. He said I could do his for him so I will keep on doing the clothes in our bedroom!

    Not a lot else done! Been out for dinner tonight with some friends and have suggested a trip to the seaside to,orrow as it is our only free day with OH off work. Got stuff happening on Sunday and Monday he is out for most of the day! So won't get a lot done tomorrow!

    Night all x

    Hi all

    Oh CY sorry to hear your news, havent heard from you for ages. Hope it all turns out OK. You are definitely doing the right thing in getting as much rest as you can.

    Frizzle that made me laugh. My OH is the same. And what do I do when I get a day off? Err, wait a minute, when do I actually get a day off?

    Bossy sounds like you are making great progress.

    More decluttering tomorrow, plus some forms to fill in for DS and OHs tax return to submit. Oh and a little paid stuff.

    The alcohol is definitely helping btw. I feel more chilled now.

    Evening all. Ive quickly read the thread and now cant remember what I wanted to write. So hugs and goodluck to all that needs it x
    CY- good luck with the op, lots of hugs xx
    Boddy- congratulations on the new family addition

    I seem to have struggled with the list this week. I'm going to get the kiddies all involved this week and they can help complete lists for games time (I have to really limit computers as it makes DS1 tired and mardy). Hopefully I can catch up over the weekend.

    Thank you for all the messages and good luck through the week for the job interview, I thought I had majorly messed up.... But I got the job!! Not the 1 I originally applied for. I was so excited but now I'm a little unsure. Its 16 hours a week and means I will be £5 over the limit for carers and it says its only a 10 week contract (guessing holiday cover). I could cancel the carers and then still be jobless a few weeks later. I went in today and was served by someone being trained, I got a really funny scared/nervous/excited feeling that that will soon be me.

    Right I better go get the kiddies to sleep as tvs are still on. They were late to bed as my sister called with her boys late afternoon.

    Big (((hugs))) and loads of posivibes from me too, CY. I've been thinking about you and yours since our trip to York earlier this week anyway, and now I know why. Please keep posting when you can x

    I have had a day off today and relaxed for the first time for ages - and caught up on much-needed sleep too - though this morning I did collate all the feedback questionnaire answers (which were almost all very positive). I also managed to deal with 3 loads of washing, but the last one is still out on the whirligig in the rain! Ah well, an extra rinse never comes amiss...

    Congratulations on getting the job, charlieyates :T

    CY huge hugs and healing vibes sweetie x

    Well I nipped up to my SiLs dropped some stuff off and picked some up
    Sent OH for a takeaway
    Folded what felt like a million raffle tickets in 3hrs
    Boxed all the prizes for the stall ready to get put in the car
    Another load of washing and drying

    No dusting or any more hoovering done. My back is aching now.

    Oh CY - I was wondering where you were. I know it will seem ages until the 12th but keep posting here when you feel like it, eat well and sleep plenty and fingers xd it's soon sorted.

    Sound like you've done quite well today. If you don't mind a suggestion - if you do the skirting very first thing and then the rest. If skirting not dry when you do the walls then just do within an inch or so of them. You can come back another day and finish the inch :)

    The reason is that if you go over it's easier to wipe off emulsion rather than gloss/wood sheen/whatever so always do top coat on wooden sills, frames and skirting before top coat walls ;) (I was a finishing painter for a living for a few years)

    How brilliant is that :dance: :dance: Well done you. I know it might mean a bit of jiggling but it will give you a reference and some recent job experience - so easier to find something else after this job and they might extend it.

    Hope you all have a super Saturday. ((hugs)) sticks and spoons

  • I'm so looking forward to the weekend - I did maintain keeping up with my washing/ironing throughout the week which meant I just picked out the wardrobe what i wanted to wear first thing without switching an iron on before work :j

    I bleached all the kitchen tonight after work but too tired to do anything else.

    Plan for tomorrow is:

    * take DD2 to work and then I'll pop the bank and do the food shop
    * Washing
    * Ironing and put away in my newly kondoed wardrobe and drawers - concentrating on mine at the moment
    * Attempting chilli in slow cooker for the first time
    * Kondoing my books
    * a lick and a polish
    * Ensuite

    I still "hate" my house and the fact that after cleaning the kitchen tonight i go in and there is one cup in the sink just left there! why cant DH just wash it after he has used it ?????? :mad:

    I know Im going to spend the weekend busy and come next week i will think "what was the point"? But i'm going to try especially as my friend is popping round and her home is immaculate - i feel like she silently judges the house in a nice way and would love to "dress" it if it was hers lol. I wish she would :rotfl:
