Annual chalet spring cleaning and flying-fest has happened and the first of the lets arrive tomorrow. It looks rather nice so I've taken photos which I kept fogetting to do since we had the extra bedroom and new shower room added. I think the carpet could do with another wash but it's a lot better than it was.

The lovely new neighbour who works from home one day a week had the doglet for me as I think my being out for several hours three days this week was worrying him - if the cream wool rug in OH's office was anything to go by. The WM coped wonderfully.

    I'm shattered.
    Better is good enough.

    Creeps into thread....

I seem to have been absent for about a month. chiefly because my problem with repeat UTIs became more serious. In a moment of desperation I saw the GP who referred me to urology. A scan ensued, which showed something and led to the inevitable appointment with a camera....

The camera appointment was on Wednesday. You get to watch it on a TV whilst it is happening. The consultant checked the area of the scan that had caused concern and there was nothing there. But he found a tumour in a different location.

It is incredibly brutal to see the tumour on the screen, and he did apologise for that. They were very good and got DH to be with me and brought the specialist nurse in to talk to me.

Letter from hospital arrived today - surgery is scheduled for 12th June. But I won't get the full assessment of what I am dealing with until the follow up clinic appointment.

Work gave me 2 days off to get my head round it all. Being a woman I have worked through all the pain and UTIs thus far, so all I am doing atm is sleeping. But boy do I seem to need it!

I will keep popping in, but I'm not doing too much flying to be honest. (Predictably house is a hovel).

I need you to know that I am bearing up quite well. I refuse to stress about it until I know what there is to stress about. I explained it to each of the kids and they are coping well. They are under strict instructions to bring their questions and worries to me.....

At the moment I am just listening to my body - so sleeping lots. Positive flylady vibes welcome, of course. I will try and check in on a sort of daily basis.
