AFAIK Admiral (and its various brands)) is the only insurance company which asks or cares whether you've done a speed awareness course. The vast majority don't.0

With insurance you're expected to apply in utmost good faith meaning that you're expected to voluteer the information. It could effect the outcome of a claim should your car get damaged in a collision.0

Not anymore. Recent FOS guidance states that for normal home, car insurance etc the insurance company MUST ask every question it considers relevant. If they don't ask you've done nothing wrong by not telling them. Within reason of course. With insurance you're expected to apply in utmost good faith meaning that you're expected to voluteer the information. Or the offer of a Speed Awareness Course, no points and no fine.
Better off taking the points if you have a clean licence.
In which case the cost of the course + a day off work + the additional charge on your insurance, make it a foolish choice.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
