just a update, i did not go ahead with the infrared trial and instead i had new storage heaters fitted, i love them they keep the heat all day and night miles better than my old storage heaters i have never been as warm.

Its an inarguable truth that gas is cheaper than electric but if for whatever reasons you can not make a HA install gas then I'd push them to install Quantum. You can always sell the 'green' points to the HA with the Blue Peter Badge acclaim & EPC they get for the "High heat retention storage heaters".

That's to say near 1300 degrees C -medium 500 to 800 degrees C - far infra which operate at operate at significantly lower temperatures around 100 degree C. Every NSH system user should have a back up for the odd day you get caught out and there are some cracking commercial quality component people and objects 'ruby's' going very cheap - just a head's up.
