    Hi Susanann,

in light of the uncertainty about ANPR and which PCN did or didn't have a prior windscreen notice just send the standard appeal letter for both PCN's without any additions.

Then lets see what comes back from them

"date of event 31/3/15 date of notice 2/4/15 "

faster than even PE, even quicker than Rowenna two days before her bonus cut off date., I suspect there are more tickets floating around ,

can someone suggest the correct email address and wording to get the correct info from the DVLA without incurring charges

I'm afraid the DVLA has recently applied a much more PPC-friendly interpretation of what constitutes 'ANPR'.

A man on a bike with an iPhone or Samsung Galaxy, (or probably even a Kodak Brownie!) now comes under the description of 'ANPR'. He doesn't even need a pole to put it on!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Just send the appeal letter - separate one for each PCN - if posting take the letters to post office and ask for a certificate of posting for each letter.

Save any photos for 2nd stage appeal.

With the first PCN which I am past the appeal timing do I need to add an apology for the late and appeal and a reason for it.

Is it worth me saying that the keeper of the car (Not the driver) is a student with his Overdraft up to his limit and no more money to even be able to pay a ticket and would have to pay in weekly or monthly amounts to clear it. Would that put them of bothering taking him to court. He gets no more grant now till end of September.

Don't need to apologise. Won't help but confirms you are late

Don't discuss paying by instalments (or at all) or being broke! (You are appealing the issue, not "begging" for time to pay or agreeing to pay at all)

    nope, terrible idea

dont overthink this, dont give away valuable or incriminating info

remember, parking companies read these forums

appeal the pcn with the template letter, no apologies, no explanations , no nothing

just appeal in the simplest terms, no begging, no explanations

there are reasons for why you should not do so, but if we tell you, we tell the opposition too

so send the template appeal, see what comes back, dont ask why, just do it

when you have the responses, post them as pcn A and pcn B and tell us if they cancel, or if they refuse the appeal and allow an appeal to the next stage or not

Ok will do exactly as you say it makes sense not to hang yourself with anymore than just the appeal letter. Will let you all know the outcome. Thanks so much for the help everyone
