My husband and I have successfully claimed back the PPI from loan with Bank of Scotland. We wrote them a letter asking for the money back after we had a refusal to payout on the insurance when my husband's fixed term contract came to an end. We claimed on this basis and had a letter back saying there were looking into and would get back to us within 4 weeks. Three weeks later we received a cheque for the full amount of the PPI. An extra surprise was a cheque a few days later 'as compensation'. I had asked for 8% interest but was just happy to get back the money we had paid. It only took one letter. :j

After 2 years with teh Ombudsman and various rejection and appeals Loans.co.uk now owe me a tidy sum. They have 12 weeks to pay, knowing them it will take them that long to pay.

Fantastic, well done and Congratulations,:j, a long wait wasn't it? all worthwhile in the end, well done.
