Hi,
Just wondering if you could advise me on Barclaycard? I have very recently submitted claims for a N Rock loan, 2 x MBNA credit cards and a Comet stores card as the PPI was quoted on the ststements. However there isnt any PPI quoted on my Barclaycard statement, would this mean there is no PPI on the card????

Hi there
To double check on this personally I would ring them to make sure, it used to be that any ppi would be shown on monthly statements, but maybe things have changed, they should be able to confirm this to you.
Good luck with your reclaims.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
hi wondering if any one can help i hAVE HAD A TOTAL OF 8 LOANS FROM BLACK HORSE SINCE 2003 THEY WERE ALL PAID UP EARLY AND I PAID EXTRA IN EARLY REPAYMENT CHARGES WHOULD I HAVE PAID THE PPI AS IF I WHOULD HAVE KEPT THE LOANS TO FULL TERM THANKS JULIE:j
Hi there
If you had PPI and were mis sold this product for any reason you can of course make a reclaim, it does not matter if they are still active or on settled accounts.
When you settle them, the ppi is normally calculated in with the settlement as well, so you should still have something to reclaim on.
However, if you have 8, I would keep them separate.
Instead of writing letters now, the financial ombudsman service (FOS) have issued new reclaiming ppi questionnaires for customers to use to complain and reclaim, you will find this further down the page on link below as stage one.

Complete one for each one, and keep copies as well, however you can of course write letters instead if you want to or a cover letter with wach questionnaire if you feel you want to give further information, these are requested to write in your own words.
If you do want a reclaiming letter template, I would only use as a guide and write in your own words, its believed the success rate is higher than that of using a template letter, but there is one on link below to give you an idea, and to make sure you don't miss anything out.

Can i go back further than 2006, i dont have any paperwork but i did have loans prior to 2006?
Chris
Hi Chris and yes you can.
Many have been successful in reclaiming way back from 90's reclaims as well.
However, if you do have any paperwork it would help, so if you do not have any maybe a Subject access request (SAR) may help, there is a template (SAR) letter on link below, they have 40 calendar days to comply, you enclose £10 cheque or postal order.

hope this helps, and when your ready to make a reclaim ask for help if required and/or follow the guidelines on link here:

After signing the offer acceptance form almost three weeks ago I recieved two letters of bh on Saturday one was a statement regarding my 155.05 arrears. I sent my first letter in march according to the statement they stopped paying the insurance in February but still took the original payment by dd but used the insurance money to pay off the 155.05 arrears then at the bottom of the statement dated the 1/6/10 ppi insurance cancelled and the amount then underneath that it says ppi insurance adjusted and a different amount then at the very bottom it states that I still owe 2 hundred pounds on the loan. Yet the other letter I recieved tells me that from 21/7/10 my payments will change to just 86.68 which is just the loan payments now that the ppi is cancelled for the next 15 months. When I asked for a settlement figure before the ppi was cancelled I recieved a letter stating that the amount to settle the loan was 1922.00. The amount including the interest that they awarded me came to just over 2,000. I have tried working all the figures out to see what I shud recieved in payment but none of the figures seem to add up! I'm really confused and as of today I have recieved no payment of bh not even just the interest.0

sent original SAR request in April had the details within 40 days, however the copies of statements did not arrive 1 phone call got them within a week of requesting.
i worked out PPI paid plus the 8% interest should entitle me to £610ish refund so sent a letter requesting this, today i have received all the details of barclaycards investigation stating there is insufficent evidence to prove the PPI was sold in accordance with the guidelines.£676 is now getting refunded on to my card as a result.
thanks to all that helped with my advice requests, now on to Capital one and HFC.
Thanks for sharing your success.
I am just starting off down that road , lets hope I get the same result.
My biggest headache is what to do first PPI or UE?
Any ideas which is the best to pursue first?
Does anyone know if you claim UE and are successful can you then go for the PPI?

on my statements it showed PPI in the breakdown of charges evry month,it later changed to optional payment protection.
as it seemed common practice to add PPI regardless and only recently show it as optional my gut feeling is you will have paid it.
i would write to them requesting it back and see what they say,my experience of barclaycard PPI reclaiming is they are not trying to delay or reject any genuine claims they even paid out a bit more than i worked out the figure to be.0 -

Congratulations on your success. It will have been well worth the wait when you get back what you fully deserve.
I have been waiting for 2 and a half years so far with the FOS but the main thing is to prove to the banks that we will not roll over and give in. We will fight for what is rigtly ours.0
